I had a wedding shower to attend Sunday and was happy to wear my Allie Dress in Aqua Floral. I was able to buy this a month or so ago on sale with a percent off. I was worried about the fit as I’ve tried the cotton and Basketweave dresses that were pretty tight through the waist, even in the size 8. But this size 8 fit like a dream. It was chilly and I was going to add tights but I don’t have an exact match for the Coddington heels in Cobblestone. I added a grey Cashmere cardigan from Express that I purchased many many years ago.

After the shower I stopped at the Outlet Mall. Kate Spade had 50% off the whole store and I had a few Christmas presents to buy. I changed out my shoes for some old Salina ballet flats which matched exactly.

Of course I stopped at the J Crew Factory Store to see what was there. I ended up buying some PJ pants, two scarves, a Jackie in Retro Jade (matches the dress!) and a Retail find – The Jester Turtleneck for $22. There were three of these just smushed together in the Clearance section and I happened to find a Medium.
Have a Great Evening!

Sorry I’ve been MIA this week. I had jury duty Monday and was selected as a juror. Then add tons of work to catch up on and finally, our wireless router went kaput. Even though I had my phone and could check emails it was odd not being on the internet. I was able to clean my awful dirty kitchen floor and start my closet clean-out. I should be posting/hosting a Blog Sale later today/tomorrow so be on the look-out for that. I was also able to get to Anthropologie and play dress up for almost 2 hours so I’ll post that this week too.

Here are some of my outfits from last week. The first few are for Jury Duty.

Turtleneck: J Crew Tissue Turtleneck
Sweater: J Crew Cashmere Shawl Popover in Jalapeno
Pants: Banana Republic
Boots: Steve Madden Inragee

It was really cold last week so I was able to finally wear my Italian Wool Blazecoat. A button popped off before I took it off the hanger but thankfully they are hidden when buttoned.

This is what I wanted to wear to Jury Duty one day but it was still too cold for a skirt, even with tights.

All items J Crew
Tissue Turtleneck in Blanched Orchid
Cashmere Cardigan in Bright Plum
Sunnie Pencil Skirt
Tights: Merona
Jean: J Crew FS Boot Cut
J Crew Pin

Friday – Work Catch-up Day: I found this Kimono Sleeved Turtleneck at Saks Off 5th last year. I made them take it off a mannequin.

Turtleneck: Saks Off 5th – I found this last year on a mannequin. The SA happily took it off the mannequin.

Turtleneck: JC Tissue Turtleneck
Wrap Cardigan: Forever 21

Ugg Sweater Boots – I wasn’t going anywhere and it was cold outside so I stayed cozy in my Uggs.

Cardigan: Old Navy
Jeans: JC Ankle Toothpick
Boots (not seen): Steve Madden Inragee

I’m off to finish my closet clean-out and run errands. Have a great day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I’m exhausted and am looking forward to a week off from work. I haven’t taken a full week off in a long time and it’s well-deserving. I have lists and lists of things to do but I’m not going to worry if they don’t all get done.

Everyone in the AudreyBella house received everything they asked for and then some. I received the cookware I asked for (dishwasher safe..YAY!) along with a WII! I squealed like a kid when I opened the gift. Husband sure did surprise me.

It was all about J Crew for Christmas. The Boy received some J Crew merino sweaters, a button-down and boxers. MamaBella received a beautiful beaded cardigan that was only in-stores. She saw it when they first brought it in back in September. I saw it on sale a few weeks ago and scooped it right up for her. I bought my grandmother her first piece of J Crew jewelry along with my aunts and first-cousins. They were ooohing and aaahing over their necklaces. And, PapaBella received two long-sleeved tees from J Crew which he really liked, and asked for more! I felt a little like Oprah…”You get J Crew. You get J Crew. You get J Crew.” Haha…

Here’s my Christmas Day outfit, all J Crew, except for the necklace. (pic taken at end of long day = no make-up)

Even though it was quite chilly on Christmas Day, it was pretty warm inside. I’m glad I layered the cardigan and blazer because I was able to be comfortable in just the tee while eating dinner.

I was told last week a small roll-out for Resort/Spring will happen this week at J Crew with a bigger one mid-January. This is probably why they are still having their 30% off on-line and in-stores. My store still had a lot of sale items when I last checked on Thursday. That’s when I bought the blazer. As soon as I saw it go on sale online I went straight there to grab my size. And the 30% off promo was still going on.

I’m staying inside today and not braving the shoppers. Are you checking out the sales today or making returns?

Sorry for the teaser earlier but I’ll get straight to the business because of it! (I tried to take as many flash pics as I could.)

Honore Dress – #27248, $128, Size 6
LOVELOVELOVE this dress! I love the full A-line skirt. It’s so fun and would be a great party dress. It’s cotton and the ruffle-y part in front needs a good steaming. The description says it has a side-zip but this is a back zip.
Coddington Suede Platform Pump – #27920, Black, $228 online, $198 in-store (I should probably go back and get these.) The Dusk Red online is spicy!

Wool Tuxedo Short – #29875, $88, Size 6 – Meh…These would look great on someone with thinner legs than me. And would look great with tights.

Glen Plaid Ruffle Skirt – #28263, $128 (WHAT!), Size 6 – This is way too short for me, especially with all the ruffles. I added the heels and looked HOOO-CHEEE. Pass for me but I know some of you out there can pull of this skirt.

Waverly Chino – #29468, Size 6 – I don’t really do chinos too much but one of the SA’s asked me to try these on. This size was a little snug for me. I tried on the 8 and it fit a whole lot better and looser around the waist and booty. But the length would need to be hemmed.

Silk/Metallic Pencil Skirt – #29037, Color TOL, Size 6 – This is a Collection item and is very pretty. It is not online but I did take a picture of the tag, although not the price. Doh! But I know it was less than $150 and possibly priced at $128 or $98.

Camo Crinkled Chiffon Skirt – #28237, $128, Size 6 – Here’s part of my new hunting outfit. there’s nothing about this I like. From the crinkle, to the diagonal stitching, to the length (15″ according to the website), to the print. Honestly, it looks like someone took the cover from a hunting blind and made a skirt with it. I’m sure if I was 15-20 years younger I could rock it.

Herringbone Bell Skirt – #28261, $79.50, Size 6 – Elastic waist band, no zipper anywhere. I like it but was hoping to see the other colors of the Wool Bell Skirt, like the Henna or English Saddle.

Ankle Stretch Toothpick in Twilight Wash – #27487, $128, Size 30 – Sadly, I have my father’s legs. So I may think I look great in skirts and shorts but give me a skinny pant or jean and I look like I stuffed my legs in a sausage casing. I originally tried on the 29 and wouldn’t walk out of the dressing room, let alone take a picture.

I like the wash. Nice and dark with no whiskered effect or frayed edges and hems or holes. Thanks J Crew for making a normal jean.

Pilar Paisley Cami – #28503, $89.50, Size 2 – I grabbed the wrong size but it’s not too bad. I could probably do a 4 in this.

Bettina Cami – #28505, $79.50, Size 6 – I think I need to give this one another try-on. I was still swooning over the dress. It’s got a “Victoriana-inspired” feel too it. It is still great for the rest of the summer and through the fall and winter layered with cardis and blazers.

Not-the-Calista-Cami-even-though-the-tag-says-it-is Cami – According to the TAG #28506, Color DRO, $79.50, Size 6 – I love this color. And it looks so much better when it’s steamed.

Here it is in the Warm Taupe. When I tried on this outfit I added the Burnished Olive Cashmere Crewneck Cardi.

Sparkle Waves Henley – #30078, $45, Size S – Nothing special about it for me but I know someone else will like it. I’m sure that once I see someone style it I’ll love it.

Perfect Fit Folded Flower Tank – #31180, $29.50, Size M – I missed out on the summer version of this tank and will be wearing this under my Victoria ruffle tees I have.

Cascading Sequin Cardigan – #28145, $118, Size M – Cute, embellished cardi that also comes in gray.

Rimini Cardigan – #29000, $98, Size M, Color NUT(meg) – Similar to the Torque Moto Cardigan but lightweight.

Printed Cardigan (not online) – #28143, $88, Size M, Color ROR

Cashmere Crewneck Cardigan – #18871, $158, Size M – Colors BOL (Burnished Olive) and HAG (Heather Agate) – So happy Cashmere is in my store!

Solid Ripstop Field Jacket – #26994, $98, Size S – Still way too big, even for layering. I’m unfamiliar with the price point on these types of jackets but it looks like a deal to me.

Knit Blazer – #29214, $168, Size 6 – Color UGR – Cute

Marled Knit Thandie Blazer – #29305, $158, Size 6 – I love this cute blazer. It’s a lightweight knit and will be perfect for those mild winter days we always seem to have. I really have no need for a heavy coat except for 4-5 times a year, if that.

So Yay New Arrivals!
