Sorry for the teaser earlier but I’ll get straight to the business because of it! (I tried to take as many flash pics as I could.)
LOVELOVELOVE this dress! I love the full A-line skirt. It’s so fun and would be a great party dress. It’s cotton and the ruffle-y part in front needs a good steaming. The description says it has a side-zip but this is a back zip.
Wool Tuxedo Short – #29875, $88, Size 6 – Meh…These would look great on someone with thinner legs than me. And would look great with tights.
Glen Plaid Ruffle Skirt – #28263, $128 (WHAT!), Size 6 – This is way too short for me, especially with all the ruffles. I added the heels and looked HOOO-CHEEE. Pass for me but I know some of you out there can pull of this skirt.
Waverly Chino – #29468, Size 6 – I don’t really do chinos too much but one of the SA’s asked me to try these on. This size was a little snug for me. I tried on the 8 and it fit a whole lot better and looser around the waist and booty. But the length would need to be hemmed.
Silk/Metallic Pencil Skirt – #29037, Color TOL, Size 6 – This is a Collection item and is very pretty. It is not online but I did take a picture of the tag, although not the price. Doh! But I know it was less than $150 and possibly priced at $128 or $98.
Camo Crinkled Chiffon Skirt – #28237, $128, Size 6 – Here’s part of my new hunting outfit. there’s nothing about this I like. From the crinkle, to the diagonal stitching, to the length (15″ according to the website), to the print. Honestly, it looks like someone took the cover from a hunting blind and made a skirt with it. I’m sure if I was 15-20 years younger I could rock it.
Herringbone Bell Skirt – #28261, $79.50, Size 6 – Elastic waist band, no zipper anywhere. I like it but was hoping to see the other colors of the Wool Bell Skirt, like the Henna or English Saddle.
Ankle Stretch Toothpick in Twilight Wash – #27487, $128, Size 30 – Sadly, I have my father’s legs. So I may think I look great in skirts and shorts but give me a skinny pant or jean and I look like I stuffed my legs in a sausage casing. I originally tried on the 29 and wouldn’t walk out of the dressing room, let alone take a picture.
I like the wash. Nice and dark with no whiskered effect or frayed edges and hems or holes. Thanks J Crew for making a normal jean.
Pilar Paisley Cami – #28503, $89.50, Size 2 – I grabbed the wrong size but it’s not too bad. I could probably do a 4 in this.
Bettina Cami – #28505, $79.50, Size 6 – I think I need to give this one another try-on. I was still swooning over the dress. It’s got a “Victoriana-inspired” feel too it. It is still great for the rest of the summer and through the fall and winter layered with cardis and blazers.
Not-the-Calista-Cami-even-though-the-tag-says-it-is Cami – According to the TAG #28506, Color DRO, $79.50, Size 6 – I love this color. And it looks so much better when it’s steamed.
Here it is in the Warm Taupe. When I tried on this outfit I added the Burnished Olive Cashmere Crewneck Cardi.
Sparkle Waves Henley – #30078, $45, Size S – Nothing special about it for me but I know someone else will like it. I’m sure that once I see someone style it I’ll love it.
Perfect Fit Folded Flower Tank – #31180, $29.50, Size M – I missed out on the summer version of this tank and will be wearing this under my Victoria ruffle tees I have.
Cascading Sequin Cardigan – #28145, $118, Size M – Cute, embellished cardi that also comes in gray.
Rimini Cardigan – #29000, $98, Size M, Color NUT(meg) – Similar to the Torque Moto Cardigan but lightweight.
Printed Cardigan (not online) – #28143, $88, Size M, Color ROR
Cashmere Crewneck Cardigan – #18871, $158, Size M – Colors BOL (Burnished Olive) and HAG (Heather Agate) – So happy Cashmere is in my store!
Solid Ripstop Field Jacket – #26994, $98, Size S – Still way too big, even for layering. I’m unfamiliar with the price point on these types of jackets but it looks like a deal to me.
Knit Blazer – #29214, $168, Size 6 – Color UGR – Cute
Marled Knit Thandie Blazer – #29305, $158, Size 6 – I love this cute blazer. It’s a lightweight knit and will be perfect for those mild winter days we always seem to have. I really have no need for a heavy coat except for 4-5 times a year, if that.
So Yay New Arrivals!
