We’ve been having some beautiful, 70+ degree weather the past few days. Perfect for shorts and light sweater layering.

Here’s the Polyvore.

 

I wasn’t sure the top and color of the shorts would work together but it’s growing on me. I also wasn’t originally sure about the shoes but decided on the flats for the day. The shorts were in my store last week and are now on the website.
 
 
Here’s my OOTD from Tuesday.
AND, I went to the salon on Saturday to get my haircut and some highlights.

I’m going to “try” to do a weekly post on Tuesdays of shoes I own as well as current alternatives at different price points. Let me know your thoughts.

First up is a shoe I get compliments on EVERY time I wear them. I love these and stalked them until they came back in my size on the Neiman Marcus website. They are by Christian Louboutin (my favorite FAVORITE shoe designer). He comes out with some of the most beautiful shoes and, sometimes, sky-high heels (5+ inches).

This shoe has so much going on but it makes it that much more interesting. Theres the lace, the zipper detail, the spikes at the toe and the cranberry color.
This shoe is now sold out but there is a similar style in black.
There is also a heel. I saw this first but the heel is way too high for me.
I found some styles the had one of the elements of my shoe but not with all (lace, studs, zipper detail, color).

I was in my Anthropologie store making some returns and saw the Off-the-Tie-Rack blouse styled with a sweater. I absolutely loved it. I’ve been wanting to wear the blouse but the weather is just not co-operating. Now, of course, you are thinking “A sweater would be nice over it during the Spring.” but it was the WAY it was styled. Just watch…

Here is how it is online. I wrapped the sash around one more time so the bow is smaller on me.

Here is how the SA told me to tie the bow. Just a simple knot.

Here is the way it was styled yesterday.

They used a shawl cardigan but since I already had a long J Crew cardi I saw no need (yay!) to buy the one they used – as tempting as it was.

Since it is a bit windy I added the Eden blazer. They are very convenient for layering and grabbing at the last minute when you’re going out the door. I would get another but I have the Ecole in the Brown and my Wool Schoolboy in Redwood should be coming today.

I had some success yesterday with the boy. I bought him “adult” jeans at American Eagle and not only did they fit but he liked the style and wash! AND…today I got him to wear a belt. He has this pair, his favorite, that he has been wearing EVERY.SINGLE.DAY! He washes them at least once during the week but he walked out of the house yesterday with his “pants on the ground”. And, of course, the bus was just about to show up so it was either 1) Get after him and make him change which would mean he would miss the bus and I’d have to take him or 2) Let it go for one more day. I let it go. He’s taller than me and has a deep voice now so I pick my battles. ;o)

Ok…Here’s part two.

J Crew Textured Garden V-neck Tee  

J Crew Cotton Linen Scarf – I found this in the men’s sale section when looking for some things for The Boy.
  
My J Crew store got in the other two prints of the canvas totes. I preferred this over the other (two ladies sitting next to each other with one cardigan/sweater wrapped around them – I think a cat was in the pic too).
 
Banana Republic – Dina Gladiator Wedge
 
I should have never walked into Neiman’s. Christian Louboutin was having their trunk show (and no one told me!!!). I looked at and picked up EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. Of course, anyone who can wear his 5+ inches with or without a platform is brave.
I decided on these.

I did not stop by GAP, Anthropologie, American Eagle or White House/Black Market like I had planned too. Not sure I’ll have time today or not. But I guess I don’t really need to and I think my bank account needs to recover from the shock.

Here’s what I’m wearing.
I changed out the shoes from my Polyvore set. These are some cool Nike Blazers that are suede (brown areas) and tweed. The soles are a light purple.
I received my order yesterday (which had the Vintage Bateau top in it) and am disappointed in the Celosia Cardigan in Wild Plum. I’ll post my thoughts and IRLs later today or tomorrow.
