Let’s take a little break from Olympics watching to view Kendra Scott’s Fall 2016 Collection. My friends have been wearing Kendra Scott for a while and last November I finally found something I liked in the Amanda Pendant. I’m not into the colored Danielle earrings but I do like the jewelry with the natural stones such as the Shelli Cuff or the Jayce Necklace in Gray Granite or Lapis. The Gray Granite is probably my favorite stone from the collection. There are several other items I would love to have including the Samantha Necklace or the Sally Ring.

J.Crew has a new promo today with LOTSTOSHOP. You can take 20% off “wear now and later” items. There just a few new arrivals from the last roll-out included in this promo, including the lovely Sailor Skirt in Ponte and Tippi Sweater with Ruffles.

The Cuffed Sleeve Top and Carrie Cami are great layering pieces. I’m still waiting to try the Rayner Jean and hope it fits better than the Rayner Chino. I reviewed the Mountain Lake color. I have every color of the Cuffed Bermuda Short in Linen and wear them every chance I can. I really like the striped scarf below and both are from the men’s section. The Boy has the Chambray Shirt but I also owe him a few more since I turned two of his favorites pink. #laundryfail

I’m sitting out this sale. We’ve seen better percent-off for new arrivals in the past. The sale section is 40-60% off but also Final Sale.

Banana Republic has new arrivals out geared towards late-Summer / early-Fall. One style I’ve been gravitating towards is Lace. There are several pieces I am seriously lusting over, particularly in the colors being offered.

Banana Republic always seems to have pretty leather and suede pieces each year. I like the drape of the Bow-Knot Top. J.Crew’s bow shoulder top was stiff and shapeless compared to this lovely bow top. The only drawback is the Polyester material. I would have preferred silk. I ordered this Denim Sheath Dress which has sold out pretty quickly online but you might be able to find it in-stores. If I hadn’t bought a trench coat earlier this year I would have definitely tried this short trench coat in navy.

Today starts Banana Republic’s Friends & Family event. You can take 50% off 5 regular prices items. This does exclude leather, cashmere and BR Picks. You will need to sign up for emails to get a code mailed to you. Usually the store honors the event without a code or email. I try to get two to three things I want and then get some tees or socks for The Boy or Husband to get to my 5 items. The Factory is having 40% off your entire purchase from now until August 14. This bow pump is my favorite thing from the J Crew Factory roll-out. The color along with the embossed faux-snakeskin is gorgeous. I’ll have to order these online as I know my Factory and Mercantile stores won’t carry them. But I need these in my life!

The Vintage Scarf has made it’s appearance at the Factory in a shirt, skirt and dress. I feel I need to get the Hound Dog tee in honor of our dog Gus. The little bow tie around the neck is the cutest.

There are also some repeats in the new rollout. I find the quality between the retail and factory puffer vests to be the same. I have both in different colors and they fit, wash and wear the same.

Currently, all new arrivals are “up to” 40% off, through Sunday. And you can take 50% off “Wear Now Styles”, so basically sleeveless tops, tees, and shorts.

J.Crew had new Fall arrivals on Tuesday and they brought all the #ShinyPonies. I seriously have more shoes added to my wishlist than clothes from this roll-out. I seriously think I need every pair.

I will probably, finally, buy my first pair of Kiki’s but now I just need to pick which one. The calf-hair flats would look great with jeans, but the cap-toe is very classic and Chanel-esque. I would pick the Elsie Suede Pumps in Chartreuse over the India Blue but then get that color in the Cece Flats. And the Avery Heels in Tweed are unlike any pair I have in my closet. Of course, there is this Mary Jane style from the #NSale.


I received the Style Guide last week and did pre-order the Bee Tippi. There’s also a Perfect Shirt and socks if you’re adverse to getting another Tippi Sweater. Of the destination art tees the Paris and Rome are my faves. I do expect there will be Factory versions of these tees. And how pretty is the All-Day Tote in Vintage Indigo? I love that J.Crew is adding back saturated colors to their bags. I haven’t bought one from them in a very long time.
