Though I have plenty of room available, I turned over my closet to Fall and Winter wear. It was getting a bit overwhelming seeing everything I had as well as trying to figure out what to wear. Now, getting dressed is a little easier and I can also see what I’m not wearing so I can get rid of it. For Fall/Winter, I’ve noticed I really don’t need a whole lot but a few accessories and shoes would be nice to jazz up what I do have.

Anthropologie has some great dressy, casual and boot selections right now. I want all of these and more!

Have you heard of Terrain? I’ve just recently discovered it and am absolutely in love with the site and what’s available. It’s part of the Urban Outfitters (Anthropologie) brand.

I need a new tree as my current one has seen better Christmas’s. We can’t find lights that are the exact color and have had to use plain white bulbs. The branches are starting to become loose though none have broken yet. I love the simpleness of the Illuminated Winter Tree but I want the Miniature Bulb Set in Neutral and the Copper Tree Skirt so I may have to settle for one of the smaller trees as a table decoration.

The Zinc Mistletoe Bunch is so unique and unexpected. I would never be looking for silver-colored mistletoe. The Milk Glass Ornaments are gorgeous and come in 4 colors. I would choose the Mint and Milk. The Mistletoe Rotary Candleholder reminds me of a similar one we had from Germany. I loved to sit there and watch the carousel we had spin around just from the heat of the flames.

I’m not crafty enough to make them but I think a wreath brings a little bit of outside in to your home. Terrain has quite a few that I like and some that will blend in with my Holiday decorating. I have a small space in the kitchen that needs a little something extra. Both the Preserved Cedar Star Wreath and the Orange Artichoke and Bay Wreath will fit perfectly in that spot. I love the simpleness of the Dried Cotton Wreath. I can wrap some festive ribbon around for the Holidays and then remove it for use the rest of the year.

Most of the wreaths are made upon order so you shouldn’t wait until the last minute to get yours. I like that a lot of items Terrain has are simple and natural.
Have you shopped Terrain yet?

Some of the next items from Anthropologie stopped me in my tracks and I wanted the pieces immediately without trying them on. The first two are Anthrpologie exclusives with a beautiful Butterfly print.

I first saw the Culottes below with this Butterfly print and then found this top in the same print. The size 8 fit fine, not great or amazing. It pulls over but does have a few buttons in front as well as the decorative silk tie. The button just under the chest along the widest part of my rib-cage was just a little snug but not uncomfortable.
The back is open at the top and the silk tie still goes around/lays on the neck. It feels a little odd to have some exposure but then material at the neckline. The sleeves are nice and flowy and of course the print on the silk is gorgeous. I added the size 8 to my wishlist.
~ Elevenses Mariposa Silk Culottes, size 8 ~

These culottes are what first stopped me in my tracks. These wide-leg culottes are made from a beautiful silk and in a fantastic print. I tried on the size 8 and they fit very loose everywhere but were still cropped. The online model image shows these hitting a few inches below the knee, not just above the ankle bone. Though I’m usually a size 8 in Elevenses, I think the size 6 would fit since there really was plenty of room at the waist and hips.

~ Meadow Rue Cascade Blouse, Taupe, Medium ~
The taupe color went well with the Culottes. Because of the loud print I would stick to a neutral color on top. It fit perfect in the Medium and draped really well. I wouldn’t tuck it in as the ruffle looks a little odd that way. It’s a great little blouse that can be worn with dressy pants or casually with jeans and a cardi.

~ Dolan Lucille Tie-Neck Tee, White, Small ~

I was looking for a white top to try on with the Vespertine Skirt and chose this one by Dolan. The small is snug in the arms so I would size to a medium. There is a little hook in front to close up some of v-neck to hide the exposed cleavage. It’s a pass for me. I’m not in need of another version of a white tee.

I love the contrasting interior of this skirt that the low-high hemline highlights. It’s what immediately caught my eye.
There was no 8 to try on so I grabbed the 6. I wasn’t able to zip it all the way up and where it stopped makes me think the size 8 may not zip all the way either. Because of the low-high hemline I don’t mind this midi skirt. The front hits just below the knee and the back is just below the calf. Wearing heels will help elongate the legs as well.
The Vespertine Skirt is one you definitely need to try on if you see it in-store. I highly recommend it.

Happy Shopping!

I had a tiny bit of time to stop by Anthropologie and I found a few things to try on.

I like the silhouette and bell/flare cuff of this sweater dress. The print is good too. I like that there is a stripe on one side and the floral print isn’t all over the dress. The stripe seems visually slimming. Without Spanx! Gotta love that! The Small fit well through the body and I wouldn’t size up even though the arms were a little snug. I like the length too, hitting just above the knee.

I liked the print of this dress but the fit was a mess for me. Though the pic on the right shows I have a big stomach it’s just the shape and pattern on the dress. The shoulders are dropped as well. This dress looks good in pictures online but they probably have it pinned. A Medium would have been too big and the XS would have not fit on the hips or shoulders.

These were just random dresses I found while perusing the store last week. They don’t fit a current need at this time. I’m looking for dresses that are more casual that will work with tall and short boots or can be cinched with a belt and worn with leggings, like the following. I have two different Chambray dresses right now but the Weekend Tunic Dress is at the top of my list to try on.

Have a Great Day!

Anthropologie has a new promo on dresses for a limited time. Take 20% off dresses with DRESSCODE. There’s no minimum amount you have to meet but there’s no free shipping either.

I tried on all these dresses here, here and here. I absolutley LOVE the Carisima Sheath in Navy. That’s my top pick to purchase. The Sao Paolo Tunic Dress is more practical for my day-to-day wear.

New dresses have arrived since my try-ons and I can’t wait to see these IRL. The Nora Swing Dress in the Blue Motif is my first choice from this set. It will be great with boots and booties. I saw that Ann Taylor had a Flowy Suede Dress but is sold out in my size. The Moulinette Soeurs Sedna Suede Dress is almost an exact duplicate of that though a reviewer states the color is more brown than red. The HD in Paris Viera Jacquard Shift Dress is a cute little dress that I’d wear for the Holiday parties.
Are you shopping this DRESSCODE promo? What are you considering?
