I am really loving my Frye Boots and wanted another dress to wear with them since I only have one pair of skinny jeans I can slip them over. I’m glad this dress was around when the Tag Sale started as it’s been on my wishlist for a little while.

I was originally going to order a Medium but it was sold out so I took a chance on the Small. It is a great fit and not tight across the chest as I originally feared. It’s a good length to wear without leggings or tights and the neckline hits at a nice spot and is not too low. And, of course, I love this tunic with my boots!

~ Glinted Tee, Silver, Large ~
I grabbed this tee on a whim but am on the fence about keeping it. I think it would look great with a layered necklace in a silver tone but though it’s Silver, it seems a little blah to me. First, it runs small, with the Large fitting like a Medium on me. Second, it’s Linen, so hand-wash only, which I’m sure I’ll forget about and machine wash it causing it to shrink. Lastly, though I know v-necks are flattering and elongate the neckline, I really prefer a crew-neck on tees.
Anthropologie still has it’s Tag Sale going on. Have you bought anything from it?

I meant to post these a lot earlier since these were ordered during the Black Friday 25% off promo. They were items I wanted to try since my store didn’t have them at the time.

~ Saira Blouse, by Cloth & Stone, Medium ~

I liked the online image of this on the model. When I originally tried this on I did not like it but then I kept it on for a few minutes and didn’t want to take it off. The rayon is very soft and silky feeling. The neckline wasn’t too low and it just felt comfortable on. My only issue with this blouse are the sleeves. They are very long and get skinny at the elbow area and then widen again. I can’t push the sleeves up or roll them without it feeling weird. I ended up keeping the shirt on all day so I guess I’m keeping it.

~ Toamna Silk Tee, by Mickey London, Medium ~

I have been searching for silk tees and blouses to throw on with jeans and skirts and this one was visually interesting. Unfortunately for me, it didn’t fit well across the shoulder and sleeves. It’s also more sheer than I’d like it to be, as you can see from the back view. I really did like the print of the branches and falling leaves. In person it was just a pretty.

~ Sienna Silk Trousers, by Harlyn, size 8 ~

I was thinking these would be a great pant and color to use for the Holidays; something other than black. But the fit of these was too saggy in the front while fitting great in the back. These are cropped on the online model but normal length on me. The silk as very nice and they are lined.

I ended up returning both as they just didn’t work for me.
I ordered the Tinted Chambray Tunic and hope it’s as cool and casual as it looks. And right now is 20% off select gifts. These are my picks, some of which I already have, like the Monogram Mug. And I would love the Dorado Crystal Bib Necklace for me!

I always find something at Anthropologie when I go. It’s so easy to just walk around and look and touch everything. I had some returns and decided to look for a few extra Christmas Gifts.

~ Capri Blue Iridescent Jar Candle-Volcano, Giant / Mini ~

The Capri Blue in Volcano is my very favorite scent. I have everything it’s offered in. A few Christmas’s ago I gave the minis to all my cousins. They loved getting the little Anthropologie boxes, knowing something good was going to be in there. These Iridescent colored jars are perfect to place in a bowl with Christmas ornaments.

I am gifting some of these but those I am not will go in my closet and a drawer to make it smell like Anthro all the time. I wonder if I could shave the bar and place it in a bag for little sachets?
~ Old Havana Mug, Mint ~
I saw these mugs in the store and wanted to have them since they matched my current dinnerware. I bought all the store had and ordered the rest.

Christmas with my family is at my house this year. I wanted to incorporate some fun things for my niece and nephews so I bought some Christmas Crackers. I’ll also have a Hot Chocolate bar with some fancy marshmallows and Peppermint Poles from Williams-Sonoma.
Like I said, I always find something at Anthropologie.
Have a Great Saturday!

Rounding out my Anthropologie visit are two pieces I loved when I tried them on.

~ Harvest Moon Poncho by Angel of the North, Maize, Medium ~
This sweater comes in Maize, Ivory, Moss and Raspberry. My store had this color and the Ivory, which I did not see but think I would like. The medium fit well but almost seemed a little big. When I tried the small, I liked the look of it much more. This has a cowlneck and buttons on the side to assist with the bat-wing sleeves. It’s a little difficult to add a vest over it but I managed.

I’ve worn this twice already and it goes very well layered over J Crew’s Silk Sleeveless Blouse. I wear them all the time and they are almost like a second-skin now. I started adding a thin cami underneath since they tend to get a little static and clingy. I prefer the Seamless Cami from The Limited.

~ Sparkled Tulle Skirt by Moulinette Souers, Small ~
I never noticed this skirt in store until an SA brought it to me to go with the Harvest Moon Poncho. Because this is a pull-on skirt with an elastic waistband I was able to fit comfortably in the Small. There are sequined critters all over the skirt (Squirrel, Owl and a bird). The length hits just below the knee on me. I couldn’t resist this skirt so it came home with me.

Here’s how I wore the Harvest Moon Poncho last Saturday. Husband and I went on a Brewery Tour in Austin. It was a lot of fun but a really long, tipsy day. The weather was chilly and misty all day. I added a long-sleeve tee as the first layer because the sweater is loosely knitted and not perfect for warmth by itself. The sweater matches almost exactly to one of the colors in the blouse.
~ Pixie Pants, Navy, J Crew ~
~ Samual Boots, Corso Como ~
~ Excursion Vest, Navy, J Crew Factory ~
What’s on your Wishlist at Anthropologie? Anything I need to take a second look at?

I usually shop Anthropologie more in the Spring and Summer than the Winter but there are quite a few pieces I like this year.

~ Tulle Midi Skirt, Bailey 44, Black, Small ~
Anthropologie likes to bring these Tulle skirts out for the holidays. This time it’s Bailey 44 and in black. Since there is an elastic waistband, the Small fit well though it would have been nice to try a Petite Medium. I know this is a midi skirt but I would like a shorter length. This is going to be a great skirt to style for parties this season. My friend has the Ivory one from a year or two ago and she looks like a beautiful fairy princess when she wears it.

Ballet Scoop Tee, Dolan, Dark Grey, Medium ~
Though the tee is big on me in the Medium I love the look with the Tulle Skirt. This is just your basic scoopneck tee and comes in an array of colors. Size down since this runs big.
The necklace is cute. I wanted something more substantial and ended up getting the Hebrides Geo Pendant Necklace instead.
~ Scalloped Remi Blouse, HD in Paris, Sky, size 8 ~
Though this is a polyester blouse it didn’t feel like one. I liked the drape of it as well as the scalloped neckline. The size 8 was the best fit for me, so TTS.
~ Aristata Top, by Raoul for Made in Kind, size 8 ~
I was swimming in the size 8 and would definitely size to a 6. The pattern placement on each blouse is different. Some reviewers say this is cropped but this size was a normal length on me. I’ll report back if the size 6 is different but this top is now on my wishlist.
