I received my Anthropologie birthday discount in the mail a few days ago. I have had my eye on a few things (this and this and this) online and was hoping at least one of those was in my store. The Boy was getting a haircut so I wandered over to Anthro to “browse”. I didn’t find anything on my list during my first walk-around so I grabbed a few other things I was interested in, including the Gull Wing Dress by Girls from Savoy in plum.

I’ve tried this on before in the red and loved it. I felt really sexy in it. I think the plum is a much better color for me but also grabbed the black polka dots too.

Wearing a size 6

OMGEEEE…totally in love with this dress. Even if I didn’t have my birthday discount I would have bought this. I feel more amazing in this dress in the plum than I did in the red. I didn’t even try on the polka dot one. This is a perfect dress for our super hot (95+) and getting hotter weather.

As I was in the dressing room, one of the SAs showed me the Back View Dress. I guess they had just received it because I didn’t see it on the floor. It’s on my wishlist so I tried it on. This is such a pretty dress with beautiful vibrant colors throughout. I ended up with a Small. I didn’t even notice the side zip until I tried it on again at home. (I was able to fit it over my head with ease without unzipping it.) It’s currently sold out online so if you are interested in it call the stores.

Lastly, I tried on the Bosky Lace Skirt in Green. I’m not sure what’s with me but I have been drawn to lace crochet lately (here and here). And green is my favorite color. This is a size 8 and has a slightly loose fit. A size 6 would have been a little snug over the hips, so an 8 is fine by me.

So, as you can see, my Anthropologie discount card didn’t last two days into June. But!…I was surprised to receive an email from Anthro yesterday with another discount that I can use online. Yay! My store doesn’t carry shoes so I’ve found a few I like and it also didn’t have some of these vases I’ve been eyeing.

Have a great night!

Hi everyone. Blogger having issues gave me some time to take a break until the kinks were worked out. (Not sure if they still are but anyway.)

I was able to find the Horkelia Shift Dress in the Orange color and I am such a fan of this Spring/Summer color. I tried on the 8 originally and found it to be shapeless and loose, but then again it is a shift dress. I then tried the 6 and found it to fit a little better through the waist. The orange wasn’t see through that I could tell but I was wearing nude under-clothing. I can see the crochet lace snagging and the original dress I tried on already had a few snags and was unraveling.

The crochet lace without flash.

The Ivory was available but it didn’t interest me so I didn’t try it on.

What do you think? Keep or take back and wait for sale?

Been by Anthro a few times and tried on a bunch of stuff. So here goes the “promised many times” Anthropologie Mega Post.

Dazzler Top – Corey Lynn Calter beautiful blue beaded blouse.

Odille Floral Wrap Blouse – Not sure of the actual name of this but for $9.95 and in my size (6) I couldn’t pass it up.

Bargello Tank, S, Orange Motif – Very comfortable and flowy. There are some gray panels that are very sheer so either some strategic tucking/belting or a tank under should be worn.

Garden Party Dress, 6 – Cute print but no shape.

Belted…a little better.

Pom Flower Shift – Size 8 – Love this and the fit was amazing…Pray it makes it to sale.

Martagon Sketch Halter Dress – Size 6 – Tight fit in the chest and waist. I’d size up to an 8 if I got it.

Magnified Corolla Dress – Size 6 – This was just odd on me. The side ruching and the uneven hem just threw me off.

Refined Rugby Dress – Size M – A shirtdress that was just meh…

Gull Wing Dress – Size 6 – I’m showing this even though “the girls” are prominent. If it wasn’t for the halter tie I would have gotten this. AMAZING!

Corey Lynn Calter Fluttering Obi Dress – Size 4 – At the time I tried this on the belt was sown to the dress. I had to take a seam ripper to it and carefully remove it to wear it like the picture. (see here)

Sing Sweetly Party Dress – Size 6 – I couldn’t get this zipped up the back. I would need an 8 but I stay away from strapless anyway. Cute print.

Glanz Dress – Size 8 – LOVE THIS DRESS!!! It’s a perfect fit!

Counting Angles Dress – Size S – A gorgeous linen dress that won’t look bad even when it get wrinkled. The fit was great.

Spring-Ready Dress – Size M – Very cute and also comes in green.

Emerald Wicklow Dress – Size M – So pretty and soft and comfy but too long for me.

Tuilieries Dress – Size 6 – The was a perfect fit at the chest. If I had a summer wedding shower this would be the dress to wear. Such a beautiful silk print.

Fountain of Youth – Size 6 – A beautiful fit and husband liked this one. The best part was a hook between the top two buttons so there was no gaping.

Fantastic Field Skirt – Size 8 – And the one thing I have been waiting to see and try on. It was o.k. once I tried it on. I didn’t love it like I did when I first saw it online. I’ll wait ’til a sale.

So there it is…finally. My Anthro try-ons. My wishlist is now full of other dresses, tops and skirts I need to search out and try-on.

Have a great evening.
