The Gold Foil Leaf looks to be the May Floral print from J Crew. I wasn’t too sure about the print when I saw everything online and only came away with liking one item once I saw what was in store.

~ Carrie Cami, Ivory, size 8 ~
By far, this is my favorite of the print. I created the outfit with the Denim Jacket in Ecru Wash and love it! It’s the perfect blend of dressy, casual, and comfortable.

I can still fit comfortably in size 6 pencil skirts, so this does fit TTS. I think the wider waistband in this skirt helps with that. It comes in Petite so I would get the 8 Petite to shorten the length.

The Carrie Cami fit loose but I didn’t adjust the straps like I should have. A size 6 would have pulled across the chest. It was a beautiful silk and felt lovely against the skin. You can see my review of the Denim Jacket in Ecru here.

Though the exposed zip is rose-toned, I still do not like it down the front. I also had to squeeze into this as the zipper would not go up. I don’t know if it was this particular dress and another size 8 would have fit differently but from that dress, I would have to size to a 10…if I wanted to eat or breath. I do like the style of the dress, fit-and-flare. The print looks nice though I wonder if this wouldn’t have done better as a sheath dress with a boatneck top. And yeah, cleavage is there again. I would hope a size up could fix that issue.

I was excited about the Garden Pant in general but the linen would not give much when I put them on. Right now, I would say these are TTS but I hope I can try on the solid color to be sure. This is supposed to be a little cropped at a 30″ inseam so I would have to take these to the tailor to achieve that look.

I had no desire to try on the Gold Foil Leaf Shell with it’s exposed bright yellow zip. I just can’t bring my self to consider any exposed zipper any more. As far as the print is concerned, overall I like it. The gold is a nice touch for Summer.

What do you think of the Gold Foil Leaf print?

The SALETHERAPY promo of 30% off ends tomorrow so I’ll try to get out as many reviews as I can, in case you are looking at a specific item.

~ Striped Eyelet Dress, Tropical Forest, size 8 ~
Woah! Hey girls! I liked the color of the Tropical Forest in this dress but is that v-neck low. The size 8 was pretty snug. The poly material felt a little scuba-like or maybe ponte. It is a flattering dress for a special occasion. Definitely not a work dress. I think the pleating on the skirt is just right so it doesn’t give you extra width or volume. There is an exposed back zip.

…But a gorgeous color. I’d probably go for the skirt but it doesn’t come in the Tropical Forest color.

~ Palm Tree Drop Waist Dress, Navy Sea, size 8 ~
I was surprised at how much I liked this dress once I put it on. I didn’t think the drop-waist was going to work for me, since it hasn’t in the past. But I think because the pleated portion of the skirt is short, it actually works. I liked the print as well which I thought was just palm leafs at first. Add a cardigan or blazer and it’s a good work dress. The drop-waist part isn’t grabbing my hips either, which is a main issue when I find these types of dresses or skirts.

I passed on both of these though I did add the Palm Tree Waist Dress to my wishlist. Maybe I can grab it on sale with a good promo.

~ Seville Metallic Espadrille, Metallic Silver, size 6 1/2 ~
As soon as there was a promo I ordered the Seville Metallic Espadrille. I loved the metallic fabric on the Blakely Pump but wanted to find it in something more casual to wear everyday. I was very happy to see these arrive for Spring.

I sized down half a size to a 6 1/2 for these. I think they are just a little snug right now but so were the others I’ve purchased. After wearing a few times they’ll stretch just a little. I always find wedges more comfortable to walk in and these are no exception.

I like that these are metallic as they give your outfit a dressier feel, even if you are wearing something casual.

I’ve already worn these a few times. Here’s a look at a very casual outfit, along with our finished pool-and-patio remodel. We raised the right side, where the bed is, added a fire pit and additional seating wall, along with re-plastering the pool. Now we just need to add some plants for additional color to contrast against all the red-orange.
I love it! We spend as much time as we can on the patio and in the pool until the weather cools so it was worth the three months of construction.
The shirt is from J Crew Factory, the Gingham Button-Down Shirt in Woodland Green. It’s a very pretty olive color and have silver-colored buttons down the front. I ordered a Medium and felt it was the right fit. I think this will look nice with white denim and my white Kate Spade skirt.

I think the Seville Metallic Espadrilles are a great neutral and are a perfect addition to my Seville Collection. I have these in Chambray, Navy and Citrus Lime (from last year). I got those a little dirty but with some soap and a toothbrush was able to clean the to look as good as new.

Are you a fan of the Seville Espadrilles?

Last Wednesday was our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately, Husband had to leave for San Francisco early in the morning so we were unable to celebrate until he returned on Friday. We had dinner on the Riverwalk and went to see John Mulaney later that night. As soon as I tried on the Drapey Crepe Oxford Jumpsuit, I knew that I wanted to wear it for our night out.

It was pretty warm and humid that evening so the sleeveless worked well. I laughed so much in the theater that it kept me warm enough. The jumpsuit was long so I did a quick hem with double-sided Hollywood tape. I love the length and dropped it off at the tailor to get it properly hemmed.

I chose the Shilling Bib Necklace, which I bought on a whim after seeing it styled in the store. The bracelets are the Sparrow Cuff and a C.Wonder initial cuff. The clutch is actually a wallet/cross-body from Tory Burch that I purchased during the SPRING event. The cross-body strap came in very handy when we were walking around downtown.

The shoes are Talbot’s from a few years ago. They were the worst to wear! The front of the criss-cross strap dug into the top of my toes causing blisters. Husband said the restaurant and theater were near each other when they were actually several blocks from each other. I’ll have to find another pair that are similar, since I really like them.

Despite the shoe issues, I really loved this outfit and the anniversary celebration was wonderful.

I came up with a few outfits, planned all via my Stylebook app. This first one is super casual with Gladiator Flats and a denim jacket. This is actually a great outfit for my trip next week to San Diego. Husband has a work trip and I’m tagging along. What should I do with my time during the day?

~ Tassel Giza Necklace, Madewell ~

I knew I wanted to pair Leopard with this Jumpsuit as well and I already have the Lillian Wedge Sandal in Calf-Hair from J Crew. I love the turquoise-colored stone necklace to bring some unexpected color on top of the black. The Cross-body ties all the colors together.

Of course Espadrilles like the Sevilles from J Crew will work well too. I wore the Metallic Espadrilles in the fitting room and it worked. I think the Bright Citrus from last year will look great with the Jumpsuit too.

Any thoughts on how you would style the Drapey Crepe Oxford Jumpsuit? I’d love to hear them.

I though I would start with one of my very favorites from my fitting room try-ons last week, the Drapey Crepe Oxford Jumpsuit.

~ Drapey Crepe Oxford Jumpsuit, Black, size 6 ~
My VPS added this jumpsuit to my fitting room and it took me completely by surprise. I did not expect to like this so much. The ‘Crepe’ is a Lyocell/Viscose blend and is very comfortable and somewhat soft against the skin. The size 6 fit surprisingly well, with only some hemming in the length needed. The waist is elastic on the side and the jumpsuit has a back zip, hidden. I was not planning on getting into the jumpsuit trend but now I can’t decide if I want another one in the Naples Blue color. I think the black is a nice choice and you can mix and match a lot of jewelry and shoes with it. I bought this and have already worn it. More to come this evening.

This was a nice necklace and helped make a statement with the jumpsuit. It jingled a little and the flowers were a little too bulk for me but overall it’s a nice necklace to jazz up your outfit.

I did not think this jacket would go with anything, in this Ecru Wash but it paired well with the jumpsuit and I even used it to create an outfit with the Gold Foil Leaf Pencil Skirt. The Medium was the right fit and I found the color flattering against my skin-tone.

I didn’t buy it that day but am debating as I have a few other items at home that this jacket will go with.

I can’t wait to share my outfit from our Anniversary dinner with you later this evening along with a few other styling ideas for the Drapey Crepe Oxford Jumpsuit

Have a Great Day!
