~ Fair Isle Crewneck Sweater, Ivory Multi, Medium ~
I always think Fair Isle sweaters look weird on me. I think it’s the pattern especially when it’s smaller like this one. I do like that the pattern matches when connecting from the body to the arms. Because we all know J Crew could have screwed that one up. Anyway, this fit just fine in the Medium. I usually don’t size down in sweaters unless they look over-sized on the hanger.
I definitely prefer the Ivory Multi over the Breeze Multi in this sweater.
~Pull-on Pant in Lace Floral, Black, size 6 ~
I think the only reason why I grabbed a 6 to try on instead of my instinctive and normal size 8 was because the waist is elastic on this pant. The size 6 fit very well so I would say size down in this pant.
These are normal length on me. I have a pair from Ann Taylor and they are fitted so I appreciate the slouchiness of these. If the Collection Pull-on Sequin Pants are too pricey I would suggest these. I mentioned in another post of pairing the Sequin Pants with my Tartan Shirt (Stewart Plaid) and these would be a great substitute, despite not being sparkly.
~ Knit Top with Fun Fringe, Grey/Black/Ivory, Small ~
I thought I had grabbed the Medium in this top so I was disappointed it wouldn’t even zip up in the back. But even the Small was really really snug which makes me think the Medium might not fit well either.
The material feels like ponte and very stretchy.
But the fringe is a mess. When you put this the fringe is all bunched and twisted together. You can kind of see it behind my hand in the pic above. You have to comb the fringe down with your fingers. There are three layers of fringe so it’s a bit annoying. The “fun fringe” is a PITA.
~ Martie Pant in Sequin Herringbone, size 8 ~
The material on this Martie Pant is the same as The Perfect Party Skirt, a sparkly herringbone.
The size 8 fit well in the hips and thighs on me. The length is a little long so I think I might go for the 8 Petite to get the fit a little more snug and bring up the length. I really liked the pant it would also pair well with the Perfect Shirt in Stewart Plaid to be festive this season.
Have you tried the Martie Pant?
