Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

Don’t you hate it when you see something you want in a magazine or photo but when you see it IRL it might not be so great after all. So you pass on it and then think about it for the next few months regretting you didn’t buy it. That’s what happened to me and the Tie-Dye Wednesday skirt. IRL, it just didn’t strike me like I wanted it to. It sold out quickly and every time I saw it as a pop-back I regretted my decision to not buy it and wanted it even more. There it was, just taunting me.
Thankfully, we have the JCA Exchange where I found my skirt but, again, didn’t ask about it or buy it. Then it showed up on ebay. Major sign, right? So I bid and eventually won the auction. Turns out it was a JCA (Thanks Carrie!) selling the skirt. Silly me, I should have asked.
So now I have no more regrets (at least about this skirt) and can move on to my next obsession. Not sure what that is but I’ll find something soon.
Tee: J Crew Twisted Slub
Skirt: J Crew Tie-Dye Wednesday Skirt
Shoes: Brass Tack Wedges – Anthropologie

Here’s what I wore Monday.

Blouse: Transposed Tulips Blouse (Anthro)
Shorts: J Crew Carson
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Hola Thong Sandal
The colors of the blouse are so striking and vibrant.
Hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!

This is what you wear when it’s 100 degrees outside and you have no A/C in your car.

Tank: J Crew Favorite Fit
Shorts: J Crew Bermuda (2009)

A necklace for some bling.
And Wonder Woman.
The boy is spending the weekend at his uncle’s and Husband went to a friend’s so I was all alone this afternoon/evening. So I headed to J Crew, which is at an outdoor mall. I just like to punish myself with all this heat.
Check your stores if you are interested in this skirt. I found it for $29.99 today, marked down from $59.99. And  my store still had the 30% off-Final Sale.

It does run small in the hips so I recommend sizing up.

I also bought these.

Twill Minnie Pant – Wild Blackberry $29.99 plus 30% off

Starfish Cinema Short – $19.99 plus 30% off
And, there was a size 14 in the Spots and Sparkles Cami, marked down again, to $9.99!!! And don’t forget the 30% off. It’s at the La Cantera Store in San Antonio if you are looking for it in that size.
And I bought this at Anthropologie with my birthday gift card.

Happy Shopping!

All day I felt like a 50s housewife in this dress. I kept thinking I should meet my husband at the door with a martini in-hand. But that’s not me!

I love that this dress has pockets. It has a little belt as well. If I had left the house I might have changed it to a patent black belt.

Dress: J Crew Factory Store Claudine Dress in Balustrade Print
Shoes: J Crew Caribe

Shoes and toes match the dress.

Have a great day!

…You wash some clothes that are “dry-clean” or “hand-wash” only in your machine that has a “Hand-wash” setting?

Everything comes out great. The Silk Tiered Camis didn’t fray. The pencil skirts didn’t shrink. The beading on the tees didn’t fall off.

Now…what happens when you add this dress along with your light colors?

And toss in a few white items. Yes I said white.

Favorite Bermuda shorts

Great summer skirt

An ebay purchase I haven’t even worn yet.

HTF!
Double HTF! (But I have another in a different size.)

And let’s throw in my favorite color Jackie.

WAAAAHHH!

Did I mention I also had these in the wash?

I really did cry.

Any way…This all happened before my birthday and party and family visiting. So I re-washed as quickly as I could with bleach. All, except for the whites, came out of the 2nd wash with no green or barely noticeable in natural light.

As for the whites, I was finally able to soak them in a water/bleach mixture today and re-wash with more bleach. (I know…very bad.) But everything now seems to be it’s original color. I took all of them outside for a good sun-dry and don’t see a spot of green anywhere.

Lesson learned.

But I’m glad to know I can wash those “dry-clean only” items in the machine on the “Hand-Wash” setting. I’ll just make sure to stick with the same colors. Even if that means washing one item at a time.

Have a great evening!

So I just have to tell you that my mom scored one of the best deals I’ve ever seen from J Crew.

Description from J Crew: The ultimate more-is-more silk top, featuring a separate animal-printed swatch that’s stitched onto the front and embellished with an asymmetrical bow and randomly placed clusters of shimmery paillettes and rhinestones (we love unexpected accents).
This cami originally sold for $98 and is currently on sale (online) for $49.99 and still available in sizes 0-12. I saw it last week (Tuesday maybe) for $39.99. This past Monday it was marked to $19.99 AND the B&M was still having their 20% off. Of course, only one size left, which happened to fit my mom just right for $15…FIFTEEN DOLLARS! She is going to wear it with the Oak Tweed Pencil Skirt she also purchased for $59.99 + 20% off.
I may be able to do some great bargain shopping when I feel like it but I will never be able to compare to my mom. She is the QUEEN.
Happy Shopping!
