Makes you want to shake yo’ booty!
Thanks to Mrs. O blog for posting. (I’m sure others did too but that’s where I saw it first.)

My Ulta store recently received the Butter London Nail Lacquers. Although they are a bit expensive $14, they are “3 Free” because they have no formaldehyde, no toluene and no DBP and are not animal tested. They tout “Colour, not Carcinogens”. And do they have some colors to choose from. I went a little crazy because I couldn’t just pick one or two or even three.
My favorites Saucy Jack, All Hail the Queen, Blagger and Snog. The Saucy Jack is a true red and the All Hail the Queen is a sparkly lighter version of Sally Hansen’s Commander in Chic or Essie’s Chinchilly. Blagger is like a Cobalt blue, a color I’m loving right now. I alway have a hard time finding a good pink. I don’t like a light pink, like Essie’s Prima Ballerina, on me and most hot pinks are too “club-ish” for me. This pink is like a tropical beach-y pink. The Rosie Lee is like a clear polish with pink glitter in it. I think it might look good with a black polish and one coat of Rosie Lee on top.
Here’s a link to Ulta with more colors. There’s a great bright canary yellow called Cheeky Chops and an almost Tiffany Blue called Artful Dodger.
What are your favorites?
So when Mother Nature decides to visit I feel awful. I feel fat, bloated, ugly, nothing fits, I have nothing to wear, my hair freaks out…and on and on and on. So I came up with a plan over the last few years to hide all of that.
On the first few days, usually the worst of it, I wear a dress. If it has a print I don’t have to add any accessories. If it it a solid color I have to add a necklace or bracelet. During the winter I’ll add a turtleneck or sweater. Make-up must also be put on, though I do it pretty lightly – tinted moisturizer, concealer, blush, curled lashes. Those are the rules. By the end of the day I feel better.
And here’s the Casbah Dress styled from Friday. Husband and I went out and had some delicious Italian food. It was pretty warm that evening. I took the J Crew Jackie in Beechwood but never wore it.
I can’t wait to wear this dress again.
Here’s the J Crew Casbah Dress. This is my new favorite print and I love the green jewel tones.
It is a side zip and has and extra zip for the bust paneling. I’ll try to get a shot of it later. I tried a belt right under the bust but it didn’t look great, IMO. There is pleating right under the center of the bust which gives it that “float away from the body” look as well as the “I may be pregnant” look. It will be good when hiding “food babies” too.
I also bought the scarf in this print. Even though it’s wool it is very lightweight and sheer/thin. Texas seems to have skipped Spring and jumped right into Summer (92 today!) so I may not have a chance to wear this outside until next Fall.
This is what I wore today. It’s our wedding anniversary and Husband and I spent the day together by having breakfast, getting our free coffee, and getting massages, facials and pedicures. Here’s the new Anthropologie Apothecary Skirt. There are so many colors in this print but they all go well together. Also, this buttons down the front, just like the J Crew Dorrie Skirt. While at Anthropologie last night I spotted and met Molly, from AnthroMollogies! It was so cool to meet another blogger in person for the first time. And she is so nice and stylish in person!
Wednesday’s outfit
And this was Thursday’s outfit.
I’m off to get ready for dinner. I will be wearing the Casbah Dress this evening.
I LOVE THIS PRINT!!! I bought this dress today. If I don’t wear it tomorrow it’s going back. See it on Ema here. I did buy the scarf as well.
