As I said from my Shoes-day post, the Factory has been rockin’ with their offerings and deals. I have bee wearing my retail Toothpick Jeans in Dolphin Gray so much that I felt I needed another pair. When I saw the Factory had their own version, the Skinny Jean in Gray, for way way less than the retail I placed an order. I took my regular Toothpick size of  30. They fit well, almost exactly like my retail jeans. They could use a little hemming to fix the bunching at the bottom.

The heel is from Zara, the Pointed High Heel. They are a great dupe of the Vince Claire Heel for way way less. I saw the Cobalt in my store last week and grabbed those as well. They will be great to punch up an all gray or all black or neutral outfit.

Because the Gray version did so well I ordered the same Skinny Jean in Black.  Now, I have the retail Toothpick Jean in Coated Denim but since those are trendy I wanted to have a backup pair in a non-embellished black. Again, I bought my normal size of 30 but I am debating on trying the size 29 as I have a little room to give. The denim is just a little different than the gray which probably accounts for the sizing difference. As with the Gray jean, I will need to hem these just a touch to fix the bunching at the bottom.

I could not stop looking at the Factory Printed Collared Popover. I don’t know if it was the color or the print but I had to order it just to try it on. It’s 100% poly and the size 8 fit well on me. It looks to be slightly shaped and not as boxy as most popover and pajama-style shirts but I am still on the fence with this one. I like the print and don’t mind the material and the sleeves hide my upper arms but there’s just something about it that I can’t put my finger on. I’ll probably return it but it is really cute.

Now that I know my size for the Factory Skinny Jeans I will probably buy those instead of the retail versions. They seem to be just as well made at a much lower price.
Have a Great Day!

I am so totally copying Kendi with my Black and Blue outfit but the two colors together are fabulous. I have been looking for just the right chunky sweater and found it in the Men’s section of J Crew Factory last month. I ordered a Small in the Fisherman Cable Crewneck Sweater and it’s just big enough to be loose and slouchy but still fit nicely. Sadly, it has since sold out but you can find a similar one here, here and here. My Madewell Striped Pleat Skirt finally came out to play as well and I finished my look with my Harper Boots.

I loved this outfit so much I wore it a few days later for a evening of Christmas shopping. I am not done and am spending the rest of today trying to finish so I can wrap all weekend. How did Christmas sneak up so quickly?

Quite a few of my favorite purchases are currently on sale, plus the 30% 40% off Sale can be applied at checkout. There are some great deals to be had and all not Final Sale…yet!

Gold Stripe Mini Skirt, Size 8, $99
Cashmere Tee, Medium, Black (not on sale but 30%)

Mini-Bows Sweatshirt, Medium, $79.99 – Easily dressed up or down, I’m tempted to get another as a back-up.

Merino Fair Isle Sweater, Medium, Black/Natural, $79.99
Crinkle Boy Shirt in Black Check, 8, $79.50
Matchstick Cord, 29, Sunwashed Sand, $69.99 (other colors are varied in price)

Embroidered Peasant Top in Green Plaid, 8P, $79.99

Italian Silk Secretary Blouse in Tapestry Print, 8, $199.99 – I don’t regret this full-price (with a discount) purchase but lucky you who will get this at sale price and 30% off, with no Final Sale.

Medallion Tie-Silk Skirt, 8, $99.99
Cece Leather Ballet Flats, 7, Black, $89.99 – Another item I’m considering ordering as a back-up. I wear flats so much and black flats are a necessary item in anyone’s closet.

Schoolboy Blazer in English Tweed, 10, $219.99
Ruffled Rhinestone Top, 6, White, $79.99

Silk Gingham Top, 6, $79.99 – Don’t accidentally put this in the wash as the silk will shrink and the Polyester lining will not. Not that I might have done that. Just giving you a little tip.

Collection Embroidered Neon Floral Skirt, 8, $169.99 – I cannot wait for Spring to wear this again. I thought about a Black Cashmere Tee but that seemed a little harsh against the neon bottom. If I figure out a way to wear this for Winter I’ll post the Que Bella.

And finally, this is not on sale but I am SO HAPPY I purchased the Tuxedo Topcoat!
Those are my “no regrets” sale items. Just a few of my favorite things this year.
Happy Shopping!

Husband had another work Christmas party this past weekend so I was excited to get dressed up again. I originally wanted to wear the Chandelier Sweatshirt but Husband was critical of it because it was a sweatshirt. “Oh no. No no no. Um…yeah…no. It’s a sweatshirt.” Ok then, you’ve made your point.

So I chose an all J Crew ensemble in light colors.
J Crew Cashmere Tee in Snow, J Crew Sterling Skirt in Sheer Mint, J Crew Collection Etta Snakeskin Cap Toe Pump, J Crew Grande Crystal Drop Necklace

I found the Etta’s on ebay for a great deal.

I added my Tipped Gray Lexington Blazer to blend with the lighter colors I was wearing.

Waiting on Husband…tick tock, tick tock. You can’t really tell but I used my new Urban Decay Naked3 Palette. The last color reminds me of Black Cherry. I usually keep a neutral face so it’s nice to have a few more options in this little palette with some beautiful rosy neutrals.

As it turns out, the Chandelier Sweatshirt worn with cords or jeans would have fit right in with what all the other ladies were wearing. Embellished on top and jeans or leggings on bottom. Not to say I didn’t love my outfit because I did. I didn’t feel uncomfortable being a little over-dressed either as I felt great and Husband loved it!

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here. I have not finished my shopping and will have to run around here and there all week and spend the weekend wrapping everything. I did wrap a few gifts with my new ribbon and paper from The Container Store. They come out with some beautiful wrapping every year!

Have a Great Day! Thanks for visiting!

J Crew Factory has been rockin’ it with their offerings this year. So much that I am trying to figure out what current retail items to not buy now in hopes that they come to the Factory in a season or two.

The Sylvia Patent Leather Wedges in Cabernet have been eluding me in-store so I finally ordered them during one of the many amazing Factory promos. The retail Martina sister are surprisingly nice. I was expecting more of a plastic-y feel to the patent. I’ve tried the Paulina Pump (sister to the Mona) in-store and they did feel plastic. Those have a Patent Polyurethane Upper. The Sylvia are a bit stiff compared to the retail version but still a great shoe.

I ordered my normal size 7 and though there is a tiny, maybe 1/4-inch, gap at the heel they fit TTS.

The Cabernet color is beautiful and will pair well with my Factory Skinny Jean in Gray. I haven’t had the opportunity to wear them yet so I will have to report back on the actual comfort of them for more than a 5-minute try-on.

Have you had any experience with the Factory Sylvia Wedge or any other Factory shoes?
