I really do like this Cove Floral print. It has just the right hint of neon. So, it’s no surprise I’m a fan of the Sleeveless Drapey Top in Cove Floral. I like the flow of this top. It’s a great throw-on-and-go blouse. I think I’m wearing a 6 in this and the fit was great. No pulling across the chest and the length was good.

The Embroidered Tunic in Chambray looks very familiar. I don’t know if J Crew has done this one before or if I’ve seen similar at Lucky Brand. I really wanted this tunic but even in the size 6 the front is cute very very low. I’d have to wear a cami underneath it. Long-sleeves in Summer is enough to wear without having to add a layer under it. This comes in White as well.

The Embroidered Floral Racer Top was a big surprise Like for me. I have on a size 6 in the Neon Citrus. I think I would get this in Black. The print is similar to a Kate Spade top I liked – Tulip Printed Silk Top {pin}.

I am so sad about the Striped Gauze Tunic. The flowiness is too much for me. I tried on a size Small but wouldn’t be able to size down due to the arms having a button closure. It was already snug in the Small. I will have to try the Boy Shirt in Stripe Gauze as the material is light an airy; perfect for Summer

So, I’ve already griped about all the seersucker for Spring that has come out but I have to make an exception for the Sleeveless Drapey Top in Photo Floral. I like the shape of the Sleeveless Drapey tops and I think the print mixed with the seersucker works. It would be nice to have seen the front print in the Green, like the Tap Short

I bought both the White and Navy in the Side-Slit Tunic. I chose the Small for a better fit and the Pima Cotton is very soft and comfortable. I will be sure to wear a t-shirt bra with this for smooth lines.

What have been some of your favorite tops from this roll-out?

I just love the Drawstring Pant in Cove Floral. I wasn’t too fond of it online but my VPS added it to my room. They are super comfortable in what feels like a silky cotton, almost like PJs, and look how cute they are with the Seville Wedge Espadrille in Citrus Lime. I have on a size 6, a perfect fit.

I originally considered trying to find a Linen pant for Summer but then realized I never wore any of the others I had over the years. The Linen Drapey Drawstring Pant is certainly a pair that would make me try one last time. I like the Navy over all the other colors. They are easy to slip-on and have enough room for a large meal. I would have to get them hemmed as the pair I tried on are pretty long. The website says the inseam is 27 inches so they should fit like the Cove Floral above. Not sure where the disconnect is but CWFS probably just did a copy/paste of descriptions.

on my tippy toes
The Bristol Trouser in Herringbone Linen looks to be available for pre-order but my store had this color available. I am wearing the size 6 which is a good fit. I wouldn’t size up. These would definitely need to be hemmed and if I wore linen pants in the Summer I would get these; one day, I suppose.

I really liked the Tap Short in Photo Floral but had a little difficulty with the zipper in the back. There was no hook that I could find and the zipper kind of felt like it might un-zip at any time, especially if I sat down. I’d probably try another size 8 just to make sure the zipper stayed up and did it’s job.
Though the Surf Skirt in Cove Floral is cute, it is definitely not practical for hot Summers like mine. Unless I wanted to dress up to go surfing? The online model does this skirt no justice. She looks sloppy with her half-tuck and slouched shoulders, especially in flat shoes. They might as well have just photographed this skirt on a hanger.
I made a dress out of it with the Sleeveless Drapey Top in Cove Floral and the Seville Wedge Espadrilles. I’m wearing the size 8 but the size 6 fit about the same. I was hoping the size 6 would fit a little better in the hip area of this skirt.

So, what do you think of these pants, short and skirt?

My VPS add these two necklaces to my room during try-ons. I paired the Bell Tassel Pendant Necklace with the Paneled Eyelet Dress. It’s cute and easy to throw on.

The Daisy Petal Necklace is shown here in California Poppy. It’s really this bright. Online shows a more subtle shade of the Coral. This reminds me of the Fan Necklace I have from the Factory. I have a feeling this one will be reproduced next year for Factory.

Both are a pass for me but are currently included in the GOSHOP / 30% off promo.

I saw a few new shoes in my store but didn’t have the opportunity to try them on so I can’t tell you about the fit. I normally take a size 7 with a few exceptions making me size to a 6 1/2. All of these shoes, except the Cleo Loafers, are currently included in the GOSHOP/30% off promo.

Marina Canvas Mini-Wedge Espadrille – I love espadrilles of all types and heights. This one has a mini-wedge making it all-day wearable. It comes in 5 different colors and with the promo, brings the cost around $69. This looks like a nice Summer sandal though I would probably get the black canvas dirty in the footbed. I’d choose the Flax or the Metallic Gold Canvas.

I do not see this one online but looks like the Lillian Low-Wedge Sandal with lattice detail. Currently, all the Lillian Sandals are included in the promo, with the exception of the Collection Calf-Hair.
Somebody stop me!! The Cleo Metallic Suede Loafers were in my store and I LOVE them! I don’t really see suede or use suede for Summer but I could get on board with these. And they would coast right on through to Fall and Winter too! It will be hard to resist yet another Metallic shoe.
Nora Suede Lattice Ballet Flat – I’ve never tried the Nora Ballet Flat but since I love my Cece’s so much I probably will pass on them. They are cute with the lattice all around and come in 4 colors. My store hardly ever gets anything but Black or Brown. Everyone once in while I’ll see Red or Blue.

Have you seen or tried any of these new shoe offerings? Know if the Lillian in Lattice come in different colors?

I have several J Crew New Arrivals try-ons to share over the next few days. First up are two dresses. The Paneled Eyelet Dress was one my VPS added to my dressing room. I actually really like it. I have on the size 6 and it fits good. The Ponte knit stretches so an 8 would be too big. The eyelet is down the front and on the skirt. The skirt portion has a little flare at the hem as well. Ponte is too warm for my Summers so it’s a pass for me.

I am wearing a size 8 in the Photo Floral Dress. I love the print in this as well as the fit-and-flare style. It’s lined in cotton too. The 8 fit a little big in some areas but I think would be too snug in the size 6, mainly in the bodice. It’s currently included in the 30% off with GOSHOP. Definitely a great option for a wedding, graduation or shower.

I’m pretty much set on dresses but would love to catch the Photo Floral on sale. Any other dress options that have caught your eye?
