~ Faux-Suede Ankle Boots, Wine Suede, size 7 ~

I saw these booties on someone on Instagram and was shocked to find out they were from Old Navy. I headed to my nearest store and found them right as I was about to give up. They come in whole sizes only and my normal size 7 fit perfectly.

The heel height is 3 inches and very manageable. I wore them all day without any issues or feet hurting at all.

The color is a beautiful Wine/Burgundy/Maroon (however you want to call it) color. The suede is faux but doesn’t look or feel cheap to me.

At a price of $35-40, it’s a good buy for your budget. I know I’ll get quite a bit of wear out of these, especially when I want a heel instead of a flat or sneaker to wear. The day I wore these I received so many compliments and was happy to pass along that they were at Old Navy
Happy Shoes-day!

I’m not in need of any coats but I had to try on THE coat. The Tweed Jacket also made me curious as well.

~ Plaid Cape, Medium ~

I just need a pipe. I felt very Sherlock Holmes-ish in this cape. I loved it but it ran really big. I would definitely size down at least one size. Gigi said she’d get a Petite Small and I think that I probably would too.

I liked the plaid though this isn’t a heavy cape. It’s very lightweight and definitely not for cold weather. I can hear Husband now, making all kinds of jokes about this cape. I know someone will rock this cape, but it won’t be me.

~ Dolman Wrap Coat, Medium ~
THE COAT. And another version of The Coat. I loved the feel of it on, so very cozy but it ran big. I would definitely size down to a Small. I was swimming in the Medium. I like the Tulip bottom of the coat as opposed to the straight line around on the other coat. Also, the sleeves are 3/4-length so this isn’t really a good winter coat. I know it doesn’t go with the show, but I think black would have looked very nice. Though that wouldn’t have been very Gladiator/White Hat, would it?
~ Wearing with the Liv Pant ~

The Dolman Sleeve…

I really loved this jacket. I think the Medium was a little too snug on me, but I would still say this runs TTS. I would probably go with a Petite Large to give me little more room in the arms and shoulders. Alas, I have no need for a jacket like this. I have so many blazers I already need to wear adding this to my closet would just make them jealous.
Which of these coats from the Scandal Collection to you prefer?

I was at the mall the day The Limited came out with the Scandal Collection so I stopped by. There was a sign out front stating there was a “launch party” going on but it was pretty sad. No one but the SAs were in the store. But, the Collection was front-and-center when you walked in the door.

~ Tulip Skirt Sheath Dress, Dusty Pink, size 8 ~
The overall fit is great. I’d need a different bra so that everything was smooth. The length in the regular size is good for me so I wouldn’t get this dress in Petite. I love the tulip details of the skirt portion.

I must not have adjusted the lining and dress well enough because the hem on one side was all wonky and bunchy. It felt really uncomfortable. I think I had some lining still bunched up somewhere.
No struggling to zip this up on the back. The zipper pull has a grosgrain ribbon on it to grab and pull up or down.

The bar on the belt is for accent only and not functional. The belt actually connects in the back

I only tried on what visually caught my eye and what I would wear. You can see more of the Collection on Gigi {here and here}. My store had more of the pink toned colors than the green. They also brought in some other store items not part of the collection to blend with them, like the Leather Opera Gloves and 3-Compartment Tote.
I’ll have more reviews from this collection soon.

Rounding out my last visit to J Crew are few pieces to make an outfit.

~ Sleeveless Blouse in Graphic Plaid, size 6 ~

This blouse was a new item in the roll-out that immediately went on my wishlist. I was surprised to see it was Poly and not Silk, since it is is the same style as the  Silk Sleeveless Blouse. The size 6 fit well in this style. I was drawn to the black and ivory plaid, which are lacking in my closet.
This sweater has been on my radar and wishlist for a while. It’s silly, I know. A sweater telling you where you are. I was able to get this on sale plus 40% off, in-store, making it final. The Small fit very well so I do think it runs big. You’ve got that dropped shoulder going on, in case you are not a fan.
I was sad that J Crew did away with the Fluted Skirt style and brought in the Plaza Skirt. But after trying it on, I have a new skirt I love. The flounce at the bottom give just enough swing. When you walk, it has just a little kick or bounce to it, like the Pleated Lattice Skirt. The size 8 was a perfect fit and now I need to decide if I want the Wool Pinstripe or the Stripe Tweed
And here are a few quick outfits with the Plaza Skirt in Glen Plaid.
~ Alani D’Orsay Flat, Deep Chestnut, Banana Republic ~

This next outfit looks even better with the shirt untucked but I forgot to snap a pic.

Have you tried the Plaza Skirt yet? The solid is now on sale.
Have a Great Day!

I really liked these pants but struggled to create an outfit with them. Then, inspired by an Instagram from Gigi, I had to try harder to find something to wear with these pants. I found that the light blue stripes on the Zora Tee worked with the Chambray.

I really need to hem these pants, and several more, but these pants were so comfortable to wear all day. I’m glad I was finally able to find something to wear with them. And, I will be recreating the outfit Gigi wore when our weather is cooler.
Have a Great Evening!
