One of the hazards of working from home is that no one sees me all day. I could stay in my pajamas all day (done that), wear workout gear all day (done that), or a tee and pair of shorts, not giving any thought to how I looked. Lately, I’ve been trying to not phone-it-in and actually put on what’s in my closet. This process is also helping me determine what can stay and what needs to go. The closet purge never stops.

I’ve only worn the Butterfly Blouse once as it runs a little small. I ordered my normal size 8 but the arms are tight and there’s a touch of pulling across the chest. I still love it and the green is saturated and beautiful.

I was able to order another pair of my Tory Burch Cropped Skinny Jeans when they went on sale. I’m so glad to have a back-up pair. I brought the cost-per-wear of my other pair down to about $7.
My Sophie Embroidered Loafers were comfortable all day. I will definitely get plenty of use out of them this Fall.

Since tomorrow is Halloween, I’m off to Michael’s. I’m just now tossing some costumes ideas around to wear while handing out candy.

Here are a few tops from the Factory I found in my camera roll.

~ Printed Ruffle Collared Top, Navy, size 8 ~

I have the retail version in the Ivory and this one fits just a tiny bit smaller. The neck (could be me) was a little uncomfortable when buttoned. I like the Navy color and I would pair this with dark skinnies and heels for a night out.

~ Tweed Sleeve Top, Navy Green, Medium ~
The Medium fit well so it’s TTS. It’s not very boxy for me, almost like it’s cut a little slimmer but still a straight cut. It didn’t feel special to me though. This shirt is a blend, with some viscose, so I’m pretty sure I’d shrink it after the first wash….cause I don’t read the label and haven’t learned my lesson. :-/

This was a nice little blouse. I didn’t have a need for the retail version but this is actually a really great duplicate of it. The size 8 fit well, for me TTS in the dressier tops. I still don’t have a need for this top but it would be on my wishlist if I did. There’s also the Lace Striped Blouse, with no dots, in three colors. I like the Spinach color.
Some of these are hitting Final Sale. I guess others didn’t think they were very appealing or have the retail version, like me.
Have a Great Day!

I was finally able to see the Transport Tote and Berliner Satchel in person. The Dark Cabernet is a gorgeous color and so well suited for my wardrobe. I would need to keep it organized though as a Tote is always a bottomless pit when I use it.

The Textured Transport Tote is on my wishlist. Almost all of my bags are made of a smooth or Saffiano leather. I think only one, my Bisbee Satchel, is pebbled leather. As you can see these two are the same color, Rock, but the leather color varies. The one in front looks more olive while the second looks like the color of a wet rock.

The Berliner Satchel is a nice in person in the English Saddle color. It’s nice and roomy on the inside. The difference between this and my Bisbee Satchel is that it has an exterior pocket on either side. One side is a flap pocket and the other a zip.

Right now, I have been very minimal in my bag usage, only carrying around my Tory Burch York Wristlet. Once I start holiday shopping I’ll switch back to a bigger bag.
Do you own either of these bags? How is the sagging on the bottom of the Transport Tote?

During last Monday’s 40% off Flash Sale I was able to get the Sophie Embroidered Loafers in the Wool Houndstooth pattern. I don’t have a brown-toned flat so these will fit right in to that missing space in my closet.

I ordered my normal size 7 and they are TTS. Since the front is shorter than normal loafers, they do show the tiniest bit of toe cleavage in the front, on the sides,
They are trimmed in Navy suede and are completely flat. The heel almost seems like it is for show. They are lined in leather and fairly comfortable, just from trying them on. They don’t feel like they will need much breaking in. The toe has a gold embroidered emblem that doesn’t clash with the pattern very much.

I’m always leery to purchase something on Final Sale but I am glad I was able to get these. Since we have a mostly mild Fall and early Winter, I should be able to get some good use out of these before I switch to boots daily. There is still enough room to add thin socks and be fairly comfortable.

Happy Shoes-day!

Banana Republic always has good promos, almost every week now. You just need to decide which one to wait for. I think the one I used was a 40% off. Those and the 50% off one are whatI try to wait for. With Marissa Webb as the Creative Director the #NewBR is looking really cool.

~ Draped Jersey Top, Medium Heather Grey, Medium ~

I reviewed this a month ago {here} and loved it then but didn’t bring it home with me. I waited for a good promo to order it. It comes in 5 different colors but I stuck with the gray since that is one of my colors for Fall. For me, this still fits TTS, if only because of the arms. I may grab the Cocoon or Dark Cypress on another promo.

~ Soft-Wash Gray Denim Shirt, Medium ~

I was on the fence about this denim shirt after I ordered it but once I tried it on I decided I liked it. I have two Madewell Denim Shirts, in denim and in black. Gray seems like a rare color for denim but I think it will layer well under some sweaters or alone with skirts or jeans. Maybe do a gray tonal look with my Toothpicks in Dolphin Gray? Good or bad, I’ll be sure to share if I do!
As far as fit, the Medium fit TTS for me. I like that it’s not too tight across the chest and waist. The length is long enough to stay tucked in, as well.

Ruched Jersey Skirt, Black, Medium ~

I reviewed {here} and bought this same skirt in Gray. I’ve worn it a few times already during work-from-home days and love it. It’s so comfortable and very easy to wear that I bought it in black too. I wore it all weekend with a tee, cardi and Cons, and then on Sunday afternoon with a silk blouse.

Gray Flannel Fit-and-Flare Skirt, size 8 ~

I really wanted this skirt to work out. This is a BR Pick which are almost always excluded from promos. But I really wanted to try it and see the material in person. I was hoping it was thicker in material but it’s thin. Definitely not for harsh winters, which I don’t have, but I would have to wear tights with this once it got colder.
It has a flat front and then the pleats start. The size 8 fit well and the length felt ok. It would be nice to see this hitting just at the knee.

And a few more of my current picks from Banana Republic. The Blue Jacquard Midi Skirt looks divine!
