J Crew: Sleeveless Drapey Popover, Garden Pant, Linen Crossover Wrap Skirt

I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off this morning but wanted to get this post up before I did anything else. I’m hoping this crazy Saturday morning ends with some pool time this afternoon!

~ Sleeveless Drapey Popover, Coral, size 6 ~
The coral is pretty bright though it is a nice color. The size 6 is the best fit on me. This seems to be a recurring item for J Crew as we saw this in the Fall in several colors. I didn’t get any of them then and don’t really have a need for them now, though the Navy would probably be a work-horse for me this Summer. Though it’s polyester, it does have a nice drape and feel.

~ Garden Pant, Bright Indigo, size 8~
This fit just like the one I tried in the Gold Foil Leaf print. Though it looks purple on my screen, this is a very pretty blue, not quite royal or cobalt. I like the Lemonade color in these though I already have a skirt in a bright citrus. This will be a good pant for Summer, especially if you are in a cooler climate as these are lined.

I was not expecting to like the Linen Crossover Wrap Skirt. I have plenty of skirts, especially for Summer and I didn’t know how well the crossover would work; if it opened fully like a true wrap skirt or dress. I usually get a size 6 in mini skirts but this one fit more like the pencil skirt and the size 6 worked very well. The length is 19 inches and hits me just above the knee. I like that the striping is a lighter blue so that you can wear almost any colored top with it. The skirt is also lined, though I can’t recall if it’s poly or cotton.  It’s solid-colored counter part is a Poly blend and I didn’t like it at all. I wish this linen skirt had come in solid colors as I probably would buy every color.

I purchased the Linen Crossover Wrap Skirt and will be wearing it soon. I’m curious what you think of the skirt and Garden Pant in solid.
