And finally, a touch of random aka the rest of what I tried on last week. For sizing reference on these items I am a Medium/size 8 in tops/sweaters, 29/30 in jeans and size 8 in pants. Let’s take a look at how it all fit.
~ Striped Short-Sleeve V-Neck Sweater, Navy Champagne, Small ~
I really liked this sweater but didn’t think that 100% Nylon was worth $98 or even 25% or 30% off of $98. The Small fit very well so size down one. You’ll see that it’s still pretty slouchy on me. I can’t really put my finger on how the material felt other than “retro”. It felt like something made from the 70s, but not necessarily polyester.
I don’t even mind the drop shoulder. I actually didn’t even notice it. I think the Clay/White colorway will be with White Jeans. I hope it sticks around under sale as I’ve added both colors to my wishlist.
~ Seamed Shell in Crosshatch Linen, Bistro Blue, size 8 ~
I unexpectedly liked this top. I think the little pom-pom trim and trim on the side-seam make it stand out from a normal sleeveless linen-blend top. Due to the structure and shape of this top the size 8 was the best fit. There’s no way I would have been able to slip a size 6 over my head and get it back off without help. There’s only a keyhole and small back button at the neck.
This could have been easily done in an Navy or White but I like the color choice. It will work nicely under a Navy or White Linen Blazer. I’ve added this to my wishlist as well.
This jean as some stretch to it so the size 29 fit fairly well. I don’t think there would be much difference if I tried on the size 30 since this seems to fit very body-hugging. These are not crop on me but are the perfect normal length, without any alterations. It would be nice to find these in a little darker wash. I have several favorite pairs of skinny jeans in my closet so these are a pass for me. One day a crop will hit me at the right spot…one day.
~ Linen-Cotton V-neck Jumpsuit in Zigzag, size 6 ~
I’m glad I tried this on and didn’t blindly buy it. My VPS gave me the size 6 since that was the same size as the Drapey Oxford Crepe V-Neck Jumpsuit. The material difference completely changes the fit. While the other I purchased drapes and doesn’t pull anywhere this Linen-Cotton Jumpsuit pulls and is tight in the front. I would absolutely have to size to an 8 in this jumpsuit.
Also, notice how low the v-neck already is on this one. And the inseam would need to be tailored as well. This one is a pass for me though I do like the pattern. There are too many things I’d need to fix and adjust before I could wear it.
Out of all these items, I liked the Striped Short-Sleeve V-Neck Sweater the best. It doesn’t seem to be moving online so maybe that’s a sign it will go to sale in another 2-3 weeks.
What are you waiting on to hit sale?

HI! I'm new to your blog and also wondered about that V-neck sweater. The fiber content was what kept me from trying it. I don't understand why J Crew did it in a nylon yarn!
