What I Like

Here are a few things I like from the newest J Crew catalog.

The theme – Who’s That Girl? They used women “who inspire us every day” – a museum curator, a freelance stylist, a ballerina, an author, some photographers and a mom to be to name a few to be models in the first few pages of the catalog.

Pencil skirt – Crackled Copper Pencil skirt

The mom-to-be, Carolina Palmgren (also a fashion photgrapher) wearing Double-V Dress.I really like that J Crew used a soon-to-be mommy as one of their models – very honest and realistic. Way to go J Crew.

Blakely Dress in Vintage Zebra Stripe (also in Light Ginger & Black)

Here’s the Tie-Dyed Wednesday Skirt again (that I was told would not be made). Hmmm…it does look like it has an elastic waist so I think I’ll pass if it is made.

Cute ballet flats (My eye is on the bottom one – my photo editor was being fussy and I couldn’t save the rotate.)

It’s the Crystal and Pearl Pastiche necklace on a ballet flat. This is so a “J Crew Math” item.

How cute are the kiddos?

And the huh?, questionable, seriously J Crew? item.
Rose Vines Romper – Shouldn’t rompers have legs and not look like a swim suit?
The description – “Think poolside parties and chic beach soirees.”
It is a Nylon/Lycra Spandex blend so maybe it can be worn in the water.

I think these are the March/April roll-out. I know there are some new arrivals coming next week. I got a look at some of the jewelry including the “Gotta-have-it Spring Necklace“, the Crystal Rock Necklace. It’s a cool piece but the stones are really large and it is a heavy necklace. There is also a bracelet that matches that would not fit around my wrist (and heavy as well).

Thanks for scanning and posting these. I love both skirts (I'm with you that I hope the tie dye skirt is going to be sold) and the knit dress. A romper/bathing suit? Really? What direction does that represent? 🙂 Oh, and the flats – so many to choose from? 😀

Do you know if these are the items in next week's roll out or do we have to wait until March? TIA

math teacher – I'm not sure if it any of these items will be in this roll-out or March & April. The catalog was for March 2010.

Desert Flower – If my scanner will start cooperating I'll see if I can post a link to the whole thing.

Thanks, Audreybella. I have a code I can use on preorders so I'm dying to see what there is! In the meantime, the pencil skirt and the zebra dress you pictured are on my list (although I think the dress might be too short). I appreciate it!!

I called my store and they didn't get the catalogue yet. They expect it Monday.

    Thanks for posting these pics!!!

Oh my goodness that is a thigh-unfriendly romper. You're right – it looks like an old timie bathing suit!

And yes, those flats are begging to be math-ed! hee hee hee, is it wrong that I kind of dig them? But just a little bit!! (:

Wouldn't it be great if JC did maternity?

Never thought the Lady Gaga-no-pants trend would make it's way to J crew!!! The rest of the looks I'm loving though. Thanks for sharing 🙂

I love the copper pencil skirt. Its very cute. I like the way how its styled in the picture. At first I was thinking it would be too dressy for work but it looks like it could be a good work outfit.
