Headed over to Anthro to see some of the new arrivals IRL and came home with a few.

Here’s what I tried on.
Anthropologie Visit

Seasonless Stretch Skirt – Originally tried on here. This was on sale in the gray and black for $19.99. I did size up to an 8.

Cafe Creme Skirt – The SA brought this to me in a 4 and it fit like a glove. I loved it but the Seasonless Skirt was a better deal ($19.99 –> $79.99)

James Twiggy Denim Legging – I had been thinking about doing a post on denim leggings because I am seeing more and more of them in stores. I have to say, the SA must have literally sized me up because she brought me a 28 and I protested greatly. She said “Trust me.” Again, fit like a glove. I couldn’t believe it. It’s a dark wash, which I love and there was just enough stretch to it to be very comfortable. I will look around for others and compare fit to see if I like it enough to buy it.

Upended Poppy Tee – I tried on a Medium and it was really tight in the arms for me. I love the design but didn’t really like it IRL.

Free Flow Tank – The top that’s all abuzz in the blogosphere. I tried on the navy in a Medium and the Beige in a Small. The fit of the small was great but 1) I have and love the Viscose Tango Top from J Crew and 2) I wasn’t too fond of the permanently tied bow. Cute but it can’t be adjusted. Also, I loved the navy but I was already buying two navy tops and they didn’t have my size.

Off-The-Tie-Rack Blouse – What a great top! I usually (read never) wear strapless or one shoulder tops due to some self-conscious issues I have with small bulges when my arms are down BUT this did not cut into my skin and looked great. The SA advised not to to a bow but a knot on the side which was great because it didn’t add any bulkiness. I tried on a 6.

Into the Night Blouse – Another great top and very reasonable. I had to keep checking the tag to make sure the price was what I thought I saw ($88). I feared the top of the blouse would run small but my standard size 6 was perfect.

Tutu Tank – I tried this on in the pink, navy and red. The red was really pretty and I tried on both a Medium and a Small, which fit better. Again, the Viscose Tango Top trumped this top AND they didn’t have the red in a Small (and it’s not online in that color either).

Striped Pursuit Top – This is by Odille and I tried on a 6. The center is elastic all the way around and the decoration on the front doesn’t extend all around the back. The only reason I didn’t get it was because it would have been the third navy top. But I keep thinking about going back to get it.

Tandem Jump Blouse – This was so cute with little parachutes all over it. I tried a 6 and could have easily sized down to a 4. I have too many “boxy” shirts. I’m trying to find more structured and fitted shirts.

I purchased the Seasonless Stretch Skirt, the Off-the-Tie-Rack Blouse and the Into the Night Blouse. I am really happy with those purchases and have already worn the Into the Night Blouse. I also had GREAT service from the SA in the store. She brought me other items to try on and she was very attentive, not only to me but to other customers in the dressing room. She was very honest with how something looked or fit on me (and everyone else) but was really nice and funny about it.

I can’t wait to see what other new arrivals Anthropologie brings in.

This is more just pictures than a review. I am usually a Medium in tops but in J Crew tees I’m having to size to a Small due to the fit and length.

The Reindeer Tee (looks like most of you bought this. I like the “porcelain” color on me than the “Glazed Hazelnut”.
The receipt call this one the Vintage Slub Elk Tee. Not sure if there are other colors.
$45.00

I purchased this sweater online in the Olive Ivory color. I tend to wear no color in the winter so I bought this color instead of the pewter. It’s pretty and it’s soft. When I took it out of the package it looked itchy but it’s not. I ordered a Medium, but it runs big all over, including the sleeve length.

I love the boatneck style and I am hoping my store has these and that the Small is more fitted like the website states. Otherwise back it goes too.

I thought this skirt was so cute on the website. It was similar in style to the Deco Shirred Skirt and the Terra Paisley, both of which I have. I was hoping to wear this to a few Christmas and Holiday parties and just change up the top and shoe.

I ordered a 6, which is my normal size. I should have gone up a size. This is way too short. It might look good with nude tights of some kind. Also, it sits at my waist and not on my hips which I prefer.

Actual Waist=30 in
Actual Length=17 in (not 18 in like the website says)

The website says it is a “shimmering champagne-gold jacquard”. It is lined. The shirring at the front is flattering but it’s not enough to make me want to keep it. Back it goes.

***I returned this to the store and my PS told me “We just got that pattern in a pencil skirt.” WHAT!?! Yup…I was so excited. I had to size up (8) but it is so much better (IMO) than the mini (which was MINI). It’s not on the website (maybe stores only) so I’ve included the tag.

I tried it on with the reindeer tee and a cream embellished sweater I already had with red shoes. Loved the look of all one tone and then the pop (really POP) of color. I’ll wear it with the sweater and the Frances Cami in ivory.

A few more reviews coming soon…(there is another reindeer tee in stores).

I was able to stop by the J Crew Outlet (J’Crewlet) yesterday and peruse their selections. Lots of coats and cords (matchstick and boot cut). Also some sweaters and “lounge wear” and tees.

(Please forgive me. I didn’t get pics of the tags. I’m still trying to get used to my new phone and the camera on it. I couldn’t shut the shutter volume off so I didn’t want to take too many pictures and draw attention to myself.)
A pencil skirt I didn’t try on.
A version of the Minnie pant/Pixie Pant. It has a zipper in the back. I did buy this.
Tees – The 3rd one on the top is similar to the Snow-Gem Tee currently a new arrival, although the outlet tee is not beaded. Out of these I purchased the last one, of the Scottie dog, for $34.50 (with a discount, I think maybe 20% off all tees). They also had a reindeer tee similar to the one I bought last year (blue sequins on blue cotton). I’ll take a pic of mine and post later. Most of the tees were $24.50-$34.50 and there was a discount on them.

Matchstick Cords in a Heather Rosebud. This color was selling out fast. I sized up, I wanted this color so bad. It makes me want to go be a snow-bunny. All cords were on sale for $24.50.
And I also purchased the enamel elephant necklace. Too cute to pass up and all jewelry was 40% off. They also had some color variations of the Victoria ruffle shirt. I’ve seen a lot of them on ebay (black w/white dots, red watercolor, abstract rose print).

**Update: Here is my Reindeer Tee I purchased last year at the B&M. The one at the outlet was a smaller reindeer version but still on the front center of the shirt.
