I am lucky enough that I am able to work-from-home most of the year. I usually have to visit the office once or twice a month. It’s not required, but sometimes a project or meeting needs my actual presence, not my virtual one.

I love my Plaza Skirt in Glen Plaid and couldn’t wait to wear it again. This time I pattern-mixed it with the Tory Burch Peg Shell (now on sale). I was in a rush and didn’t have time for a great pic. I’ll wear this again though as I absolutely loved this pairing!

I wanted to be casual but chic on my Wednesday visit and chose the same colors from my Old Navy post. The blazer came off around lunch since it wasn’t as cool by the afternoon. I probably could have done a darker wash jean but I love the Toothpick Jean in Miller Wash. They are so stretchy and comfortable.

These are two of my favorite outfits. I can’t wait to style something similar again!

Some days there are just outfits that I absolutely love and would wear every day if I could. This tonal gray outfit is one of those items. I felt super chic and comfortable in this casual jeans, tee, blazer combo. So very very simple and yet one of my favorites.
I started with this tee from Old Navy in a super soft cotton and added my gray jeans and Old Navy booties in a Wine color.
I topped it off with a black blazer, did my hair and minimal make-up and felt amazing all day.

A review of the booties are coming up next Shoes-day but I will say that I LOVE them! I received quite a few complements the day I wore these.

I was able to grab a couple of wishlist items on sale plus promo using some generous birthday gift cards from my family.

The Collection Leather Mini Skirt was not on my radar until it went on sale and I ended up ordering both the Oyster Shell and Navy. It’s rare to see such colors in a Leather Skirt and I think that makes it less noticeable as leather. I envision wearing these with my Cashmere Tees and new Tory Burch Kelly Top.

The color is a gorgeous and really does look like an oyster shell. I ordered a size 8 in both, though most reviewers stated it ran big. I think the fit is TTS as 8 is my normal min-skirt size. The feel of the leather was the first thing I noticed right out of the package. It’s so buttery soft; not stiff at all. This fits a little more snug than the Navy but I think there’s too much lining in this one. I could feel it gathering as I walked around.

Though there is enough leather at the hem to lengthen it, I have no idea how to go about suggesting how to do that.

The Navy is much darker than this image. I couldn’t get the right color with or without flash. The slant pockets don’t add any bulk in front. You can see how much better this fits than the Oyster Shell skirt, both the same size. Unfortunately, I have to hunt a pop-back in another size 8 or a 10 since all sizes are now sold out. I’ll keep the size I have and hope I find a pop-back as the color, and price, were too rare.

The Linen Maxidress in Hammock Green popped back in a size 6. It wasn’t and still isn’t on sale but I had to grab it. The color is just as beautiful in person as it is online, maybe more so. I need a beautiful necklace like Dani’s to wear with it.

I love my Puff-Sleeve Blazer in Warm Poppy and have worn it about 5-6 times since purchasing it. I ordered both the Black and Navy in my normal blazer size of 10 Petite and the fit is perfect. During the Spring, I wore my Wool Schoolboy Blazers in Black and Navy a lot but during April and May wished I had a cotton version of both. Here it is in the Black and though I like it I think that maybe I should stick with the Navy. I’m still deciding though.

Another wishlist item was Schoolboy Blazer in Linen in Dark Evergreen. The fit in a 10 Petite is perfect though it’s not a 100% keeper. I love the color but am having a little trouble finding things to wear with it in my closet. It has to work with at least 3 different things to stay or it will just sit NWT.

I also grabbed the Drapey Drawsting Pant since it came to $20 in-store with the 50% off.

What little goodies did you find during the promos online/in-store?

WooHoo! Today is Haircut Day! I have been so busy I’ve had to cancel and reschedule my appointment three times. I’m committed to today though. My hair has stayed pretty healthy but gotten really thick. It’s been almost 12 weeks since my last cut. I missed the window to get highlights so I’ll have to wait until Fall for that.

This is one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever put together. This time I changed out the shorts for jeans and sandals for wedges. I don’t know if it’s the colors or the blouse and blazer or what but I could wear a version of this every day. That’s another reason for this Capsule Remix; finding my true style and what I really love to wear. Right now, these jeans, wedges and blazer are at the top of the list.

The next 5 weeks are going to be super busy. To make at least getting dressed a no-brainer I’ve decided to do a mini-Remix each week. This will accomplish a few things. First, I only have 6-7 items to wear for the week. Second, I will force myself to include my new purchases from the last few weeks, bringing down the Cost-per-wear. Lastly, it will help me decide what else I need to purge from my closet.

With the help of my Stylebook App, I have created Looks for each week. In those Looks, I’ve pulled 6-7 items, not including shoes. I will try to use the same 2-3 pairs of shoes for the week. I even have a Black & White week set up with only one t-shirt included! I tend to buy Navy over Black clothing so that week will be interesting. The other thing is I’ve tried to incorporate something I’ll wear for the special event of that week. This way, I’m not deviating from my original choices.

Here are the items for this week. I would call this my Blue & White with a pop of color week.

And here is today’s look, the first day for this week. I purchased the Lidia Linen Polo during the Tory Burch Friends & Family. I just love the ruffle at the collar and button-placket! I could honestly wear these jeans every single day. I really really need to get another pair!
