Last year I found a black linen top from GAP that I wore the rest of the Summer. I’ve been looking for the same type of blouse in other colors since then. GAP has filled the need again with a Linen Top in various colors. Since none of the 4 stores in my area had my size, I went ahead and took a chance and ordered every color offered.

It looks like the Medium fits in these pics but the arms were a little tight. When I moved my arms the shirt was a snug across the chest or back, depending on how I moved. And when I took this off, it was a bit of a struggle pulling it over my head. These are 100% Linen so there will be immediately wrinkling when you put on the shirt. I liked the bright orange of the Fire Sky color.

I actually have a white linen top from Zara that I bought last year and again this year in a larger size as a back-up.  I could have dealt with the slightly snug fit if I didn’t have to struggle getting it off. If I would lose a little weight these would have fit just fine but if I buy something now I want it to fit for the size and fit I am now. Had these fit I would have kept all colors except the Cargo Khaki and White, since I have two of that color.

Have you tried the Gap Linen Top? Despite the wrinkles, I find Linen so comfortable and easy to wear in the Summer.

I’ve paused my Capsule Remixes for a few weeks as I try to sort out my closet and decide what else needs to go. Add on getting The Boy set for College and I’m a mess. I’ve been very casual with my outfits but still nice enough to run errands to grab dinner with Husband.

I cannot love this Zara Linen Top enough. I could wear it every day. I wish they had come in more colors like Black and Navy. These Loft Gingham Pants are so comfortable on. I still can’t believe they are a 6 Petite and fit!

I ventured outside to take pics for a change of scenery. I love our big Oaks in the front.

And of course, the deer waiting on my neighbor to feed them. The babies are getting so big. Soon their little white spots will be gone.

Husband bought me this Elephant Top on his vacation. I had to do a little altering on it as the part of the top had been stitched with the side seam. He was very happy to see I was wearing his gift.

Here are a few outfits from my Week 6 Capsule Remix. I loved the Photo Floral Tap Shorts and the Zara Blouse. I honestly cannot stop wanting to wear this blouse. It goes with everything!

This outfit looked good in my Stylebook App but these shorts are a hot mess. They are super-neon which is fine but the fit, though the exact shape as the Photo Floral in the above pictures, was off. I think it was the material. These were a very thin cotton compared to the ones above. They rode up and rolled up on the legs and at the waist. I was adjusting them every time I got up.

I’m really excited about next weeks Capsule Remix that I’m starting early. The outfits I’ve created in my Stylebook App look really good. I hope they translate well IRL. This week is another theme – Linen. All the linen in this remix are tops mixed with some new items from the J Crew sale section.

I wish I could say I wear this skirt a few times a year but, to be honest, I haven’t worn it since I first purchased it (here). Looking at that outfit now, it’s kind of basic and boring. I was always stumped by the colors and how to style it. I decided I would try to wear it at least 2-3 times this Summer or sell it. This skirt was the reason for my “Old School Crew” Remix this week. Despite the colors and the length needing to be altered I was determined to find something other than a matching tan Tee to go with it.

Enter this Linen Top from Zara. I have worn this top at least once a week since I bought it. It runs big so I grabbed a Small. It also give the illusion of a cropped top but covers well on me. I’ve worn this with skinny jeans, shorts, mini skirts. It goes with everything. I added some gold jewelry, way more than I usually wear, but felt it all went well together. The Dangling Disc Necklace is another older J Crew item that I wore with this skirt the last time.
