I am quite enjoying our beautiful weather here in Central Texas. It looks like a lot of you have been experiencing milder temps for Winter. But now it’s Spring!, which came really fast. I can’t believe April is less than two weeks away. Staying busy with work has made the time fly by. And now I have something to really look forward to.

We booked our trip to Europe!!! Whee!! I’m so excited but Husband is making me be very PRACTICAL about what I pack. That word isn’t even in my vocabulary and now I have to figure out how to do that very thing with packing. I’ll worry about that later. Besides…that’s what Polyvore is for.

I was so excited to finally wear the Gimlet Skirt in Coaster Stripe and my new Tippi Sweater in Succulent Green. I am a sucker for beautiful shades of green. Both have been sitting in my closet for a while but they were both pieces I knew I would enjoy wearing. I added my new Stuart Weitzman wedges that are the most perfect shade of Nude. You can hardly tell I”m wearing shoes. They are comfortable and I lasted all day wearing them at the office without any issues. The Gimlet Skirt is something I so want to bring to Europe with me but won’t be able to because it’s not practical. Blegh…bad taste in my mouth for that word even when typing it.

Next up is the Crepe Myrtle Shirtdress by Sarah Ball from Anthropologie. I tried it on here and instantly fell in love with it. I added the sunny colored Featherweight Cotton Cardigan and Anthropologie’s Dearie Me Wedges. I was un-prepared for the height of these shoes. I did last all day long at the office but will need to make some adjustments with the strap so it’s a little tighter on me. This dress would be another great Europe item but won’t be travelling with me this time.

Lastly, my outfit from today. This is the Old Navy Wrap Dress in the black print. You’ve seen me in the green print dress here. I added an old Banana Republic lace cami and brought out my Lanvin Espadrille Wedges. This wrap dress is a great item and is now on sale for $10 in-store! Grab it if you can. I also have it in solid black and red.

Have a Great Evening!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I can’t believe March is almost here. I promise I’ve been getting dressed in actual clothes most days so here are a few good ones.

I cannot remember where I wore this but I was very happy with it. I think the orange and pink great together and the little hints of leopard sort of calm it all down. I had this scarf on my Christmas wishlist but I knew it would be a popular item so I bought it for myself. It has orange, pink and green and they all blend so well together.

This is what I wore to my Anthropologie visit. It was a pretty warm day and I was happy to break out my new Loft purchases.
J Crew Cece Suede Ballet Flats, Wild Berry
We had a family wedding two weekends ago and I wore my $28 J Crewlet find, the Tinsel Lace Dress. And check out my handsome boy Young Man, who is wearing his first suit. It was a gift from his Godfather and I took it for alterations that came out great. He was pretty excited about it as well.

I wore this last week and loved it. This was a surprise find for me from Old Navy. I love this dress so much I bought it in Printed Black, Solid Black and Solid Red aka Crimson and Clover. This was also in a gorgeous Grape color as well but it sold out quickly in my size. I will be wearing these dresses constantly through the Spring and Summer. The fit is amazing and the dress is a soft Cotton/Modal blend. This is also my first wrap dress. I really wanted this DVF dress but I will happily settle for 4 wrap dresses from Old Navy at $25 each!
The Limited Cami, White
Kate Spade Kiki Suede Wedges, Taupe

That “wraps” up some OOTDs from the past few weeks. Have you seen/tried the Old Navy wrap dresses yet?

I went by J Crew, for what now seems like my weekly visit, to scope out the new arrivals of Summer II. I received a call from my PS and the store did get the Linen Swoon Skirt so I told her to pull the size 8 in hopes that it would fit better than the 6.

Linen Swoon Skirt – 8 – This is still sitting at my belly-button but not as tight. I wasn’t about to size to a 10 so I returned my original purchase. I’m sure this skirt will work for someone but unfortunately that person is not me.

Floral Peasant Blouse, #44121, Indigo, Size 6 – Very Anthro-esque. This was very loose and blouse-y.

Accordion Dress in Super 120s, $250, #36525, Warm Buff (also comes in Dark Heather Grey), 4 – This is such a beautiful dress. I was drawn to it on the website and this was a return to the store. The 4 was a great fit and the 6 would be too loose. This is so light weight and I love the pleating on this. I don’t need any formal work pieces but if this hits sale I may get the dark color.

Mirabel Pencil Skirt, $128, #42825, Faded Black Sand, 6 – You know me and JC pencil skirts are besties but since I have the dress in this color I decided to pass on the skirt.
Silk Blythe Blouse, $98, #37871, Poppy, 6 – A lovely silk blouse and the poppy color has a little bit of a pink tone to it. It’s not red red but more of a pinkish red in person. I know it looks more coral/salmon in my photos.

Back of Mirabel Pencil Skirt

Rumi Dress, $118, #42820, Poppy, 6 – Personally, this is not my style but is a cute dress with a built in belt but the sleeves were giving me fits as well and the low v-neckline.

Cece Suede Ballet Flats, $128, #46198, Wild Berry, 7 – Totally love this color and was happy to find it in store. The Sapphire color is just as stunning in person as it is online.

FAVORITE TRY-ON OF THE DAY (maybe even year!)
Stripe Blouson Dress, $148, #42822, Black (also Azalea/Pink), 6 – You know how “they” say horizontal stripes make you look wider. “They” are so wrong. I am very used to the mirrors at my B&M store and they do not give off an illusion (or delusion) of making you look slimmer. This dress is so pretty and silky and slimming. I didn’t want to take it off.

Featherweight Cotton Cardigan, $62, #41103, Moroccan Yellow, M – My PS had this paired with the black Mirabel Dress in my dressing room but I like it with the Blouson Dress. It has lovely tortoise buttons and is super-lightweight and comes in 12 other colors.

There were lots of other new items in store but I only had a little time to try on things that interested me.

Have a great day!
