I am on my vacation! Husband and I are on our way to visit my brother in Singapore. We have our layover in Tokyo so we have extended our stay. After a couple of days in Tokyo we’ll then be off to Singapore. After that, we will be heading to Ko Lanta, Thailand for 5 days on the beach! I’m so excited! I did want to share the outfits I plan to wear over the trip. I was originally going for a color story but after seeing the potential weather in Tokyo, compared to Singapore and Thailand, I had to just pick what I would feel comfortable, warm and weather-proof wearing.

This first outfit is my travel outfit. I wore this to Tokyo. I’ll wear it to Singapore and I’ll wear it home. I always want to be comfortable on a plane but also cozy, especially on long flights.

~ Jersey Maxi Skirt, J Crew (Factory) ~
~ Heathered Scarf, J Crew ~
~ Melanie Slip-ons, Frye (Mule, T-Strap) ~

The next two outfits I feel the most “me” in. The Cora Shirtdress is one of my favorites and I was lucky enough to get it in two prints. They are paired with leggings and some fantastic boots I found on The Real Real. Anyone shopped at The Real Real? I started out selling before I made a few purchases. They accept and sell quality brand clothing for you. No J Crew here. Think Tory, Kate, Manolo, Louis, Chanel. You send in your items to them. They look over them and accept what will sell. They have a list of brands they take and will return any items to you that weren’t accepted. They decide the pricing and you get 60% of that price.

I’ve since bought a couple of items and these boots were a steal at $95. The boots are Tods and the most supple leather. I was really worried that they looked a bit masculine but they are “Husband approved”! They are really comfortable and look great IRL with the leggings and shirt-dresses.

These next two outfits include the J Crew Ponte Wide-Leg Pants. I love these pants. I originally bought the size 6 in-store in the Navy but then ordered the Petite 8 which were an even better fit and were cropped on me. I then ordered the black in the regular size 6. I will wear the first outfit during the day. The second, with the black pants will be for night/dinner.

I’m also taking the Via Spiga Trench. I planned all my outfits on my iPad with the Stylebook App. I love that app, especially for pattern mixing.

I hope to at least post some images from my travels this week. You can always follow me on Instagram, @audreybellatx, where I’ll be posting all my pics!

I love my Cora Dress in red so much (and Husband likes it too!) that I bought the Chain Print one as well. I had to get a size 8 since a 6 was not available. It gives me just a little more length. I really wanted to wear it and decided to try adding the Merino Pocket Tunic over it. I immediately loved the look. I know it would look even better with a more fitted sweater but this one suited my needs and I was comfortable in the whole outfit.

I had some J Crew tights still in the package that almost exactly match the Martina Patent Wedges. At the last minute I added the Tortoise Crystal Pendant Necklace

I was so happy to finally take a few pics outside since it’s been so cold and gloomy. It was still pretty chilly but the sun and blue skies were out so I didn’t mind. Our patio is coming along slowly due to the weather but these next few days should be really busy with the masonry work. *fingers crossed*

Have a Great Day!

~ Cora Dress, Tory Burch (Equestrian Print) ~

I love this dress so much! It such a beautiful silk and the red is so vibrant. You can see my original review of it {here}. I knew as soon as I bought the Frye Shirley Artisan Boots that I would be pairing them with the Cora Dress. I love the look. Next time I wear this I will try it with leggings, belt it and throw on a long cardigan over it.

I was so tempted to get this in the Equestrian Print since I love the shape of this dress but decided against it. I don’t want to get tired of the print so the red print will do.

I am off to get ready for our neighborhood Christmas Party. I am thinking of wearing the Origami Skirt in Elephant Parade. I’ll be sure to post the Que Bella next week of whatever I wear.
Have a Great Evening!

Continuing my search for a long gray cardigan I found the Shawl-Collar Donegal Cardigan from J Crew Factory. It’s a very “Grandpa” sweater and quite comfortable. I bought a Medium but probably could have sized to a Small since the sleeves are long and it does fit loose in the arms and shoulders.

I definitely prefer this un-buttoned but again wonder if I couldn’t find something very similar at Forever 21 or H&M (we have one now!).

While waiting for it to arrive I actually found the perfect cardigan I had been searching for…in my closet! I had failed to look in a box in the closet where I found a few other items for Winter. I bought the cardigan last year from Victoria’s Secret, apparently having been on the same gray cardigan search. It’s a Cocoon Cardigan with no closure, so very different from the Shawl-Collar Donegal Cardigan but exactly what I was looking for.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be returning this cardigan as I already have the one I’ve been searching for. I won’t be able to make it to the Factory for a few weeks so it has a chance of staying if I find an outfit I need it for.
Here are a few other cardigan options, in case you are on the hunt for one too.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = ‘//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);
I’ll return later with a Que Bella featuring the Cora Dress show above with this cardigan.

Tory Burch had a lovely Labor Day promo over the weekend and I stopped by the store to see if the items I had tried on last time {here and here} were still something I wanted. I really do love the Peg Shell but found the most wonderful silk shirtdress instead.

~ Cora Dress, size 6 ~

I have found that I am 90% consistently a size 8 in Tory Burch. I originally only grabbed the size 6 because it was the only one hanging in the store. There were other sizes in the back. If you’ve never been to a Tory Burch boutique, they have a few sizes out, like a 2/6/10 or S/M or S/L. All the rest of the sizes are in the back. The sales associates will happily get you whatever size you need. I still hate bugging SAs for sizes, especially if all I’m doing it trying on only so I try to grab the 6/8/M that might be out in the store. I’m 42! I shouldn’t be afraid of asking an SA for help!

Anyway, I sized down to a size 6 in this dress. It’s 100% silk without lining. Instead of a straight hem all around it is rounded in the front and back and has an extra panel on the sides that’s a little shorter.

I love this since the dress looks like, from the front, it is going to be very revealing and then the sides are covered up. It is also the reason why I was able to size down. I think if that extra panel had not been there the hips would have been a little tight and I would have gone to my normal size 8. It’s defnitely an “AudreyBella” dress. Just the right hem length and right amount of leg showing.
A nice close-up of the red floral print.
The online image shows the dress with the Simone Suede Over-The-Knee boots and tights. Above, I have paired the dress with both brown and black booties and black wedges. I would probably do a heel of some kind or the black booties, then add my Pixie Pant in Tuxedo Stripe {similar} and a belt and wear it as a tunic.
It also comes in a Horse Print and a “Hardware” Print. Personally, I think the red floral print will be a lasting print for years to come. I have added the Peg Shell to my wishlist so I can grab it when it goes on sale.
Did you get anything from the Tory Burch Labor Day promo?
