OK, I get a little skeeved out by snakeskin prints. So when I saw this print in the No. 2 Pencil Skirt I knew it would not be making it into my closet. But, there’s no harm trying it on for blog’s sake, right?

No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Snake Print, Sz 6 – This is a wool/silk blend and fit TTS. The length seems a little long, more than normal. If I were to buy this it would be in a Petite 8 to shorten it up a little.
Blythe Blouse, Neon Kiwi, Sz 6 – Wow, is this bright. Even more so when paired with the Collection Cashmere Cardigan, in Neon Kiwi, Sz M.
This skirt is a pass for me. I’ll wait for another skirt in a print I prefer.
What do you think of this print and skirt?

Hi everyone! We are in the home stretch of holiday shopping. Is everyone ready for Christmas? I have some presents to wrap and a few more gift card/stocking-stuffers to buy. I’ll do that on Friday, after grabbing my Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks.

I was summoned to the office for the last visit of the year and was able to wear my flair skirt again. I’ve worn all three of mine at least twice each this month. I think my they are my favorite purchases of the year and probably the most worn!

Cardigan: J Crew Cashmere
Blouse: J Crew Natasha in Savannah/Wildcat
Skirt: J Crew Flair Skirt, Heather Acorn
Shoes: Cole Haan Booties
Tights: Forever 21
When I got home I changed into jeans and un-tucked the Natasha before heading out to dinner.
Jeans: J Crew Bootcut Jeans

Today, I have on the most coziest sweater from Anthropologie. I hope to post an OOTD of it tomorrow!

Merry Christmas!

I totally bit on the 25% off promo from J Crew hard I think I committed a sin. And I thought I was safe after last night when I “thought” the promo ended. Not only do I wake up to new arrivals but an “extended day” of the promo. I am a mess.

I did start to receive some of my orders today. (Yes ordersssss…plural…I think I need to go to confession.) I was really excited about this order because it contained the gorgeous Blythe Shirtdress in Bright Dahlia. I was never a “pink” kind of girl growing up but once I found this shade that is not quite fuchsia/bright pink and not quite purple I became a “pink” lady. I have the dress in Blue and once this promo hit I had to at least see the dress IRL.

Well, it is just as gorgeous in person. If you are a fan of bright colors then this is a great dress. I would add a navy, gray or black cardigan to tone down the color if I wanted. I’ll switch out the belt as well. As far as shoes are concerned, I would rock these Steve Madden Madee Black Patent Loafers as well as the Madee Glitter Loafers. I also have Navy, Black, Peacock, Snakeprint and Leopard Loafers that will work with this dress too. I’m wearing a size 8 here. If you don’t have shoulders and arms issues like I do then take your normal size.

Next up is the Blouson Dress in Royal Paisley. Unfortunately I can’t link to either dress because they are gone from the website. **Total confession here…I bought this dress twice. First when it was on promo last week. Then, I hadn’t even received it yet and the 25% off promo happened and the dress was still on promo so I ordered it again for an additional % off the $89.50.

Now, this dress is, I think, even prettier than the skirt. I think it’s the silk fabric. I am wearing a size 6 here.

Slightly styled with my Bright Dahlia Cashmere Cardigan. This dress really has so many colors to pick from that you can wear any color cardigan or sweater with it.

Now I also have this print in the pencil skirt. I am torn between keeping the skirt or returning it. Since the skirt is cotton, I consider it an all-year skirt, at least in my climate. But I am pretty sure I’ll wear the dress more, especially during the summer without a cardigan. I’ll sleep on it though before heading to the B&M tomorrow.

Then, I’ll have to start thinking about Christmas presents…yikes!

Have a Great Evening!

I’ve been trying to figure out a new title for post for my OOTD’s other than “Quick Post” or “Today’s OOTD”. Please forgive my Spanish as I am not fluent. I certainly understand a lot more than I can speak and am try to re-learn it so I can help The Boy with his classes in the next few years. “Que Bella”, I have found, translates to “How beautiful”. I really wanted to have the word “bella” in it if I could so that’s what I’ve come up with. We’ll see how it goes.

Here’s what I wore Thursday and Friday. Thursday was quite a beautiful day. Gorgeous blue sky and sun everywhere. This is the Fluttering Obi Dress by Corey Lynn Calter from Anthropologie, size 4. When I tried on the dress the belt was stitched in the back so I had to take a seam ripper to it so that I could wear the belt the way it shows in the picture on the Anthro size. The only thing I don’t like about this dress is the sleeve. It is elastic and so if I push them up they are tight on my arm. I really loathe elastic on the arms but sometimes you have to suffer for fashion, right? The print is too pretty and did I mention it’s a size 4! I love when I can fit into my 20’s size! These are worn with my Steve Madden Inragee boots.

Friday was an equally gorgeous day – very Spring-like – and 75 degrees with a slight breeze. For me that meant a cardigan and for Husband that meant shorts and a t-shirt. I’m wearing J Crew Cashmere Cardigan in Cobblestone, J Crew Silk and Sequin Scoopneck Tee in Dark Plum (see the Almond color on Gigi here), GAP Essential Jeans and Prada Leopard flats. I had a salon appointment yesterday and, because I’m trying to grow out my hair, it’s not as short as I would probably like. But I’ll get there. Not sure where “there” is but I’ll figure it out soon enough.

So, can you tell where I’ve taken this picture? No? Well, I’m in a dressing room…at the J Crew Factory Store. I was able to swing by after my salon appointment and tried on a few things. I really wanted to see the Neapolitan skirt and shorts IRL and they did not disappoint. I’ll post pics later this weekend.

Have a great day!

Sorry I’ve been MIA this week. I had jury duty Monday and was selected as a juror. Then add tons of work to catch up on and finally, our wireless router went kaput. Even though I had my phone and could check emails it was odd not being on the internet. I was able to clean my awful dirty kitchen floor and start my closet clean-out. I should be posting/hosting a Blog Sale later today/tomorrow so be on the look-out for that. I was also able to get to Anthropologie and play dress up for almost 2 hours so I’ll post that this week too.

Here are some of my outfits from last week. The first few are for Jury Duty.

Turtleneck: J Crew Tissue Turtleneck
Sweater: J Crew Cashmere Shawl Popover in Jalapeno
Pants: Banana Republic
Boots: Steve Madden Inragee

It was really cold last week so I was able to finally wear my Italian Wool Blazecoat. A button popped off before I took it off the hanger but thankfully they are hidden when buttoned.

This is what I wanted to wear to Jury Duty one day but it was still too cold for a skirt, even with tights.
