HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here are just a few things MamaBella always told us to do at New Year’s.
1) Eat some black-eyed peas.
2) Eat 12 grapes, one for each month of the year for Good Luck. But the catch is you have to start at midnight and have one for each toll of the clock. I’d rather kiss Husband at midnight without a mouthful of grapes so I eat them at some point on New Year’s Day.
3) Wear something red. I usually choose red lingerie.
4) Wear something new.
5) Clean house. She would say that whatever state your house was in was how it would be all year. I try to at least straighten up and have almost all the laundry done.
4) CALL YOUR MOTHER! Of course she’d say that. Haha!

Here are a few other New Year’s traditions.

Have a Great New Year!

Never heard the grapes…but I am about to put on the black eyed peas! I also tell my adult children that nothing good happens after midnight, so if you can spend the night where are …DO IT!

Great advice from your mother. I like the idea about cleaning the house, it has inspired me into action today.

    Happy New Year AudreyBella!

I've heard about the grapes once, but forgot. Did the black-eyed peas. I did frozen this year and they came out great. I focused on stocking up the fridge. Something about a lot of cooked food felt abundant to me.

    Happy New Year!!!
