J Crew Pineapple Skirt

Hi all! I back from my vacation in NYC and had an Amazing time! Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to do a whole lot of shopping but was able to hit up one J Crew.

I found an “old school ‘Crew” print from Spring 2006 there.
The Pineapple Print Skirt

The updated version of the Pineapple Print Skirt is shorter in length but seems to have the same silhouette. I took an 8 but could have probably sized to a 6. Because my experience wasn’t very positive in this store the skirt was the only thing I bought. The Boy was with me and I would have gladly bought him the Ludlow Suit he wanted if my initial service had been better. (#52857, $158-Not sure if it’s worth that price but wanted to bring it home anyway to try it.)

You can see it on Egyptomaniac, Ginger Girl, and M of Apples and Pencil Skirts. I love how differently each of them styled this skirt. Since J Crew seems to be bringing back some favorite prints is the Giverny far behind? Wendy and I can only hope.

If you didn’t catch my trip via Instagram, I hope to have a re-cap over the weekend.
Have a Great Evening!

Of all the prints to bring back, they are not choosing the best ones in my opinion! Can't wait to see an IRL pic of the skirt on you. I have a feeling you'll look adorable.

Giverny, ischia dress, san remo print, Versailles dress, I could go on… please J.Crew? Please?

Glad you got the pineapple skirt! I think it looks really fun! I just ordered the pineapple tshirt – I thought it would be nice for my upcoming trip. I am actually meeting Dani on this trip – do you think she would mind if I brought my entire wardrobe for her to sort out?

As for the Giverny – when that comes back I am buying two sizes of everything!!!

WMM bring it along! I have the pineapple shirt, it arrived yesterday. It is very sheer but I love the little golden pineapples, I have to try it on today.

Audrey I have this original skirt! I love it. Thanks for finding that photo from 2006 it gives me a styling idea. I have to find one of those little chino jackets now. My skirt is quite full and needs something really fitted on top to balance it out.

One important detail I failed to mention. The lining is Poly not Cotton. On a skirt like this it definitely should have been cotton.

Whoa! They are digging into the archives and I love it! I hope they bring back the Juliet heels In addition to the prints!

Sad to hear your customer service was lacking at the store you were in. Why do I feel like I've heard that about a particular few stores in the NYC area…?

I know Pamela. Very disappointing as my Anthro experience in two stores was great.

Audrey, if you don't mind sharing, what happened ? And what location was it ?

Angie – Basically, an SA didn't check for additional sizes in the back. The 2nd SA I spoke to found a size 8 in two minutes. It wasn't very busy either.

Hello! I was wondering about the sizing of this skirt. I usually wear a size 2 in a pencil skirt and was wondering if I should get a size 2 in the pineapple skirt or size up. I have a semi-pear shaped body, smaller waist, wider hips/thighs. Thank you for your help!

Unknown – I took the larger of my two skirt sizes. I usually do with skirts that don't have any stretch or give at the waist. The hips are free as this is more a-line than straight. HTH!
