Recent Purchases

I want to apologize. I have not been in the mood for blogging. September always seems to be the one month I can’t get it together and everything just sucks. But we’re half-way through, right? So forgive me if I don’t finish out the month strong. Ok?

Here’s what I recently purchased when “attempting” to make some returns at J Crew. You all know how that goes right? Especially on “new roll-out” day?

I returned these.

(I returned this because I love my Alma Mater blazer from Anthropologie. I also recently purchased the J Crew Outlet version of the Eden blazer in Iris and have the Wool Schoolboy Blazer in Redwood that I have yet to wear.)

(I bought this in Mink also and kept that one. $59.99 in store)

And brought home these.

Bici Tee (very cute, spokes are sequined)

Then I stopped by Ann Taylor to see if they had the matching belt to my Perfect Pumps in Porcini. They did.

And I also bought the Tiered Shirt with Grosgrain Trim in Smokey Mauve Yarn to get 25% off. I really wanted another pair of their Perfect Pumps but don’t need them so I held off.

Have a great day!

P.S. – I had a “mini-stop” at the J Crew Outlet on Sunday and saw they had the “Paris Tee” the “All Spice” Tee (from this post) and the Flower Sketch Tee in Olive Moss. All direct from the retail store and not an “outlet” version. I don’t recall pricing, sorry, but there was a % off all tees.

I'm wearing my AT porcini belt and pumps today!! SUCH a versatile color. Hope the rest of your September goes smoothly…

I had no idea that bicycle tee had sequins on it! How fun!

I hate doing returns simply because I alway must look around the store and always end up spending more than my return!!

Oooh, I was thinking about ordering the Thandie because it's such a good price right now. But you're right, the Alma Matter blazer is pretttty nice.

How did you find the Marot dress? I read some comments that the fabric wasn't great and the neckline was too low. Would love to know what you think.

Nice sweater pics, hopefully you can post some IRL photos.

I've been stalking the Bisbee satchel since it sold out. If you ever want to sell yours, please let me know. I love it!

LT – Thanks! I was surprised it was still available.

Pamela – I got lucky this time and only spent an extra $25. I'll post pics soon of the tee.

Post-Fab Princess – I may get the Thandie again – if there's a good % off. That crewlade is hard to quit.

xoxo – I like the Marot although I did not sit down in it when I tried it on. The skirt part is a wrap and you have to make sure it stays on your lap. I'll post quick pics soon on it. The neckline is a little low but I was already planning on wearing a cami under it anyway. I wish I had known you were looking for the Bisbee. There was one in my store two months ago, on sale with a % off and I almost bought it. It was the Jalapeno color. 🙁

Looking forward to seeing pics of the Bici tee! That is the one item I have my eye on from the recent roll-out. How is sizing on it?

It's very interesting that there are some retail items that show up at the Crewlet. I think I've seen only 1 or 2 at mine in a couple years, so it must depend on the location…and/or when I visit. I didn't like the fit of the Marot dress for me, but I can see that color being really pretty on you + your chic haircut 🙂

I really liked the Thandie blazer in the store but didn't try it on. Does it fit TTS?
